Help please: KR808 Carts Suck...

So, I got my new carts and adapters last night, and I have to say I was really disappointed... Note I am using a BB with the standard 3.7v battery.

I ordered pre-filled carts (555 11mg) from VaporKings. I found I got very little vapor (even after allowing the cart to break in - 20 puffs of more) and little flavor. It was also very easy to "draw" (suck in air) on the carts, and felt like I was sucking on a pen lid where someone had stubbed-out an analog ciggy Overall, I was disappointed to say the very least. I will try one more just to make sure it wasn't a bad cart, but honestly, I don't know what I was doing wrong. I had such high expectations.

Has anyone else experienced this? So many rave about the carts that I was really surprised.

I use carts from Vapor4life and the sampler packs and premium cartomizers are really very good.Ive never tried vaporkings so I cant compare.

Could just be some bum cartomizers. 555 is one of the greatest flavors in the world (in my humble opinion) and the BB is, by all regards, a stand up device. The combination of the two should be great!

I wouldn't give up on em just yet....once I found my strength/flavor and how to refill properly, you'll have to pry my cartos out of my dead hand.

I haven't had any issues with kr8 carto's. Though you can't really suck hard on them, you need to just slowly and gently inhale, I get tons of vapor though when I tried to actually suck them like an analog I got next to no vapor.

I never got much vapor from any prefilled cartomizer so I buy blanks and fill them with my own liquid and they are awesome that way.

I find that my prefilled all PG carto's dont produce nearly as much as the ones I have filled with my vg/pg mixed juices, yah that wouldn't help

Thanks for all the info. I will try sucking less hard and also try cartos from another source in case I got a bad batch.

MATT_TX - If you have the BB - Thats a 510 Unit - So you Must of bought the 510 to 901/808 adapter like i did. I have the Silver Bullet so i know.. So that adapter is pulling toooo much air through it from the sides/and threads. You have to put a piece of tape around the adapter where the Kart screws on to it.. Only about 3/4 around it. Not around the whole thing or you won't be able to puff on it. Lemme know!

Ken, that feels like exactly the issue - like it is way too easy to suck/draw on the cart, and I get a bunch of air, with a tiny amount of vapor and flavor. I'll try the tape thing when I get home tonight.

So to be clear, this is an adapter issue. Are there better adapters out there? Do you have any issues using the adapter with the 901 atty also?

i was going to say i thought it sounded like an adapter issue as well, but it sounds like you guys have it cleared up, already. as far as the cart type goes, V4L does have new premium carts (which from all reports are amazing--slightly diff design) and they use PG/VG mixes in their standard cartos. but i'd imagine that VaporKings has decent quality and even a low quality carto should perform worlds better than what you described... let us know if the taping works!

Yes, I am going to try the taping - if that works better, I'll order some of the premium cartos from V4L.

Has anyone found an adapter where taping is not required? This is very annoying, since it is supposed to work out of the box. I bought mine from AltSmoke.

Matt - I tried 3 different 510-901/808 adapters - and same result. It is an adapter issue for sure. I ordered Carts from vaporkings and goodprophets and never got a bad one.I still use them too! Just have to make sure i have tape with me, Just need a small piece going 3/4 around it. World if difference.. If i think of any other ways or find a good adapter ill pm you..

UPDATE: I tried the tape and taking longer, slower lighter draws... It worked! I still prefer the 510/901 experience so far, but at least now I have a basis for comparison... Thanks for all the help!

Glad to hear it, as you get used to a slower even draw it really starts to shine, I don't know if itll output as much vapor as a 501, but for the convenience of a carto i like it quite well.

glad it's working better. just came back in to say i have been researching the 901/carto issue some, since i'm thinking about getting an atty just for kicks and have heard that they perform in a very inconsistent manner. might ask around to see if there's a particular vendor that has better ones, too.
