All good tips here, one more would be if you are using 100% vg and a tight coil especially in cooler weather dialing it in is much harder. Everything mentioned here becomes much more critical, amount of COTTON, positioning, etc. Spaced coils are more forgiving with thicker juices (imho) even then careful not to choke it. I have come to like a 70vg-30pg much better in the winter months being outdoors. Hope all this helps just hang tough it will all pay off. If you are running VG try lower ohm .9 good luck friend.

Good answers here! Like was stated earlier, when you put the cap on make sure the air hole lines up directly in front of the coil. However you hold your Reo make sure the airhole is facing away from you and up somewhere between 11 o'clock and 3 o'clock. I hold mine like this, the arrow is where the air hole/coil is positioned.

Airholes,o-rings,coil position!A little info overload.I get it that the cap airhole position in relation to the coil is key but am not understanding why they both should face up with the atty tightened down.I guess I will have to find some more o-rings to get everything lined up.It's back to the coil buidling bench! At least I have some cartos to use in the meantime.

Reason really is just so you don't wear juice on ur clothes! Tip thst reo to take a hit with air hole facing down juice may drip on you.

Other then that.. if there's left over juice in the atty if you go to take a hit the juice would pool around the coil wick drownding it.

But you have the RM2 with big feed hole and it should suck most of the juice back down to the bottle.

Yeah i was thinking the same. information over load. It will all make sense shortly once you get the hang of it.

It appears as tho the coil needs to be closer to the edge of the rim, it might be sitting a tad too high to be directly in front of the airhole, there looks to be too little wick as i can see it's not full inside the coil and the wick over the juice hole is too long.

Practive makes perfect...don't worry about it, you'll be a pro in no time!!

The airhole needs to be facing away from you when you take a draw so that it stays unobstructed. If, when you turn the mod horizontal to take a draw, the airhole is downward, juice can run into it and block it. That causes gurgling.

The airhole will most likely naturally sit right in front of the coil when the cap is on. But the coil needs to be pretty close to the edge of the base so that it is really close to that airhole....and needs to sit at the right height to be level with the airhole. Once you get the orientation right (height and proximity to the airhole) on the inside, then the whole atty has to sit right on the mod, with the air intake facing away from you when you take a drag...no matter how you hold the mod in your hand.

Rob has two sizes of o-rings on his site. I usually use the small one and it's pretty easy to get the airhole facing away from me. Sometimes I'll adjust the way I hold the REO in my hand so that the air intake is up when I take a vape.

Hope this help.

Okie, yes I get the airhole coil alignment, it is close, but do I raise the height of the coil off the deck to be at the same level?

teejuice, I do. However, just natural placement will be pretty close. I usually just pay attention that the coil is not too high or low. I wick mine after I have installed it, and sometimes just that amount of messing with it will move it a little. I usually need to put my tweezers under it and gently nudge it up. Honestly, I know this sounds complicated and like you have to get everything just perfect but it will become second nature very quickly. We're all just pointing out things to consider.

You want air to be free to flow all around (over and under) the wick. After you've installed the coil, and before you wick it, put the cap on and dry burn the coil. See if you can see the red coil through the airhole. You should be able to see the red hot coil right in front of the hole. If it's above or below, adjust it.

I usually hole the cap up next to my coil, where it would be if screwed down, and check that the coil is level with the air hole. Be careful about pulling the coil out towards the cap too far, always check the resistance with the cap on to avoid shorting the coil...I learned all about not checking with the cap on and shorting a coil on the cap last week! I happen to have this photo of an RM2 build from last week to give you an idea of my
Coil.jpg
Coil.jpg amount of wick, placement, etc. This could have been a little closer to the edge.

Success! It is vaping like a champ now.My coil came in right at 1.1 ohm as was suggested and adjusted my "holes".

Thanks all for the assistance.
