I did go ahead and order a Volt starter kit. If nothing else it will give me options and it seemed like an all together good deal. (And newer technology?) I like that thet have a points system, a presence here and a give away. (I originally got GS two years ago because they seemed to be the highest rated company offering a two piece solution. I am on my second go around of using ecigs exclusively.)

I'm finding a *lot* of cartomizers around but not that many plain old atomizers. Maybe I don't quite understand the distinction. I thought the atomizer was a small, separate piece that would be between a "plain" cart and the battery.

Hi Kyle,
Yes, atomizers are a separate part - cartomizers combine the atomizer and cart together. if you really want to try dripping and don't have an atomizer you can use an old cartomizer:

How to make your own juice tester with an old cartomizer

This works great with Volt cartomizers as they are bottom coil - I've done it myself. Just put two drops in - no more than that. I do it for testing new juices.

I have the Volt and to me they are the best ecig look-alike. I have Provari and other mods too but use the Volt at the office. Honestly, if your GS is a KR808, I highly recommend the Smokeless Image blank cartomizers. You can put your own juice in them. They are bottom/horizontal coil cartomizers which are sort of like an atomizer with the filler above the coil. The coil doesn't run through the filler so you can't burn the filler. They are really good and the juice lasts a long time in them. Here's a link for them...Smokeless Image | The Best Electronic Cigarette

Stick batts will never deliver the voltage and current that a mod can... and once you try a mod you will wonder what you have been wasting time with standard ecigs. I only use my original ecigs for air travel... because the TSA is not real security its just leave of mind....and I say that knowing about REAL security

Not everyone wants or needs a mod tho. I've been vaping 6 months, and used to smoke 40-50 a day. I don't use a mod. :) There are a lot of vapers with the same story as me. Also - not everyone needs high voltage.Quite a few people vape at 3.6-3.7 volts and get plenty of vapor and TH. It's kept me off the cigs and I enjoy lots of different flavors.

I see the benefits of mods and used to work with a guy who used one. It just seems so big and the question he got asked the most was if it was or could be used for "something else." And that phase of my life is kind of over. :)

I prefer the smaller form factor. My main thing really was being able to reuse carts and get VG juice. I got my juice from JC yesterday and hopefully my GS blank cartomizers will be waiting for me today. *Maybe* I'll have time to fill one up and try it!

And thanks for the video link. Definitely something I'll be trying!

Thanks everyone for their help and suggestions!
