Hi All & thanks for any help

Ok I have 2 issue's. 1st is about a KangerTech ProTank 3 & EVOD 1100mAh VV Battery Set I bought. Before it came I did a bit of looking around & seen that there is New Updated Coil's. It came with 2 Taller coils but I think they were the old style cause they leak but I can use them. I purchased 1 of the short stem coils from my local shop but it seems to be not even making a connection with the battery. I've only been vaping for about a week n half so pretty new here.

2nd issue is I was given a itaste vv & I put my Kangtech T3S on it & it also seems to not be making a connection at all cause I get no vapor at all. I put it back on my 1100mAh EVOD & works fine.

So are the device's im using not compatible or am I just doing something wrong? They are all 510 threads so I figured I wouldnt have an issue.
If need be I can take some video of what is going on & post if needed or if I left out some info you need let me know as I said im new so not sure what all info is needed. Thank you for any input, Matt:confused:

I can't post links yet I tried

For the shorter stem coils and the itaste vv it sounds like your tank isn't making contact with the battery. First things first make sure the tank is screwed down all the way. If that doesn't work, on the bottom of the coil there is a small metal pin pushed up into a rubber insulator that is inserted into metal cup that holds your coils. Try pulling out the metal pin ever so slightly (DO NOT pull the pin out all the way!!! It will be a pain to get it back together.) before you screw the coil assembly into the tank. If neither of these options work, try going to a vape shop in your area to see if they sell authentic protank coils. Hope this helps!

Ok thank you guys Ill try the tip for sure. I was thinking it wasn't making contact either so that kinda confirms my thoughts on that. Now as for screwing all the way Im pretty sure I have both the coil it's self & the tank screwed tight but ill check again. As for the short coil's are those the most up to date coil's for the pt3? I've been looking around again just to try and get as much info as I can(I know this can be bad(atleast it can be in what I do when customers do that) but anyway I've seen some "Updated" KT PT3 Coils that have long(er) Stems so wasn't sure if those are newer than the shorties? IDK I'm going to give your idea a try in a few minutes i'll post back either way with results Thank you

**UPDATE**

Ok I pulled out the little pins on the side down towards the bottom. Still the same issue well when I put it on my 1100mAh EVOD vv the button was blinking red about 4 times then stopped. I have a Kanger Aero Tank & it works on the itaste & on the evod both. Only issue with it is that I get some juice but I think that can be taken care of with the correct coil. Anyway I put the Airflow Control Valve from the Aero tank onto the protank & it worked so I supposed the easiest fix would be to order 1 of those but I still want to figure out why it's not working with out that part. Anyone have any other idea's?
Thanks

PT3s are dual coil. Using an evod battery and an iTaste battery, you might want to try single coils, i.e. protank II v2 and coils. Try 1.8ohm and 2.2ohm - ish.

Dual coils on a small volt battery tends to deplete the battery very quickly (requires more power) and often just don't deliver. JMHO.

When you buy an Evod "kit" the evod battery comes with a single coil Evod clearomizer. There is a reason for that. :) They work better together.

The PT3 should take all the different coils, old and new style. Something isn't making a connection, though. Do you have any other tanks to try out on the itaste to see if it's working at all with anything?
Protanks can be a little bit finniky before you figure them out. It could be something as simple as not screwing the new coil down snugly enough on the base... but also don't screw stuff in too hard because you could strip the threads...
Sorry I wasn't much help. :)

I bought the Protank 3 & a 1100mAh vv together in a package I can't post links yet so ill post it & put a space in there so you can copy, paste & take space out. IDK maybe I got took im new to this I just knew I wanted a larger tank for 1.

so thats what I bought. prob not the greatest deal but you live & learn if it isn't. I guess I dont bs my customers around so I think others are like that but I know better I just give them the benefit of the doubt. Either way single coil dual coil nothing has worked till I tried with the Airflow Control off my moms BF's Kanger AeroTank so I was thinking about buying 1 of those.
What would be a good a pairing with the pt3 since I already have it?

Hi Guy, I use several different types of tanks on several ego type batteries. They are all interchangeable ego/510 thread except one of the tanks doesn't work on one of the batteries. It just doesn't make contact, both units are fine but the dimensions are so small that even a tiny error will cause a miss. My solution is to not use that tank on that battery. It sounds like you found yours with the Airflow Control Valve, which I've heard does improve the vape.
KISS and keep on vapin, Red

Welcome to ECF! Sounds to me like your problem might be tightening the tanks too much and pushing the center pin down. You should only tighten them until you feel a little resistance. Try taking a small screwdriver and gently pry the center pin of the battery up a tiny bit. Go slow and work around the pin. You don't need to raise it very much.

On the iTaste VV, when you press both buttons at once the screen will show either the ohms of the coil (2.2 is what mine shows, but it can vary some) or NON. If it shows NON, then the topper is not connecting. Then you can gently pry up the center pin on the iTaste some, using a small screwdriver or a nail file. Some toppers will push it in if they are tightened too far.

Ok so when I was looking at the coil I was messing with the wrong "PIN". a guy posted a video & it was for sure the pin. So all the batteries & tanks play well with each other. Just got to extend my PT 3's Post for some reason after I use it on my 1 battery but ill prob just use it with the Itaste for now & look into some other coil's. Thank you guys for all the help. Vape on Matt

The T3S is actually ego threaded, not 510.

Due to the height of the fitting on the VV3, some just don't make the connection. Pulling the topper pin down a hair, or the VV3 contact up a hair may help, or putting an adapter on the VV3 may be needed. Or, as mentioned, just not using that topper on it.

Yep every single time I use certain clearomizers on my Evod batteries and then I go to use them on my itaste vv they won't fire. I have to adjust the pin every single time! Sounds like it's the same problem -- I do like someone else said I specifically only use certain tanks on certain batteries.

Vape on :)

I can't post links yet I tried

With the Itaste vv i had one of those and it could be that the pin is pushed down and need to be reset
