Unlike the e-cigs which are a battery that dies over time these are made to last. The metal REO's are a solid block of aluminum. Quality parts are used that stand up to much use. The wood REO's are made out of a block of wood with a sliding door. These are hand finished. All the wood REO's are done by hand during the entire process.

Yes, the price is higher. But you get what you pay for in a REO. The craftsmanship and the reliability, and genuine caring customer service.

well if everything was included the price would be much higher ..... just saying.

Rob spends all his time making great mods. if he took the time to keep all the other stuff in stock he wouldn't make as many mods which are all ready in short demand.

Thirdly there are so many options. I would rather pay less and buy the supple I want vs pay more and get stuff i don't need.

I'm not sure, on the home page of the website, at the bottom it says that Reo's do not come with batteries or chargers.

REO does not manufacture batteries or chargers. The site does have links to where you might purchase them. Many buyers already have batteries and chargers from other mods. It really would be a waste if they had to pay for more.

Many places sell the recommended batteries and chargers. Yes, it is added cost. But those are items that will need to be replaced over time.

But I was just curious...for the price they charge for these things, why is everything needed not provided with the unit? That's a crazy amount of cash to put down and still have to pay more for things you need to use the unit.

Again, I'm just asking, don't attack me.

1) They work better than anyother bottomfeeder and most will agree
2) They last as longer and in most cases much longer than others
3) Tho anyone would love for them to be free those FIGHT for them when on sale to pay to get one (that says it all)
4) Best customer service by far
5) Easy to use little hassle to maintain
6) Gorgeous to look at especially the wood REOs
7) Hand made with skill and love
8)....Im tired of typing etc...etc...etc

:D

Rob is in the process of working in the VV Grand which is metal. He recently stated that he'll be making about 500 of these mods. If you wanted a wooden VV mod chances are the only way to get one would be through the classified ads. I'm sure Rob will be making more wood ones but only God and Rob knows when. I think after making the recent run a break from the wood is needed. THe metal VV will be a great mod as it will be very durable. I've been using my Grand for a year and one half, dropped it more times than I can count and its never needed a repair and functions like the day I got it.

Oh ok, thanks guys! Checking out the wood ones but I really want to wait for a vv mod.

hi dayvid :D

You remind me of the days when I purchased my first vaping ecig kit...it was about $50 or $60 for two batteries and a couple of cartos and the charger. I fell in love with vaping instantly but soon found myself chasing after a vape that would give me smoking dejavu. I had to puff and puff to get satisfaction from my first kit, so I thought maybe I need a better kit and bought another style.. the flavor was better, but the hit was not. I bought another...and soon found the filling and refilling tedious and messy... So I spent about $150 to $180, not including juice. These kits had everything, but the right vape for me!

Then I found this forum! How I wished I hadn't thrown good money after bad with those kits! I could have had a REO for the money I threw away! So imagine my bleeding wallet when I did find the REO! I bit the bullet and bought it anyway and I can tell you it has been the best investment my vaping money can buy! Pure satisfaction smoking dejavu I tell you! It has played a big part in keeping me vaping for a year and a half :D

A REO is a custom PV, it's not mass-produced. Now that I know REOs better, I marvel at the prices! I mean, only goodness knows how long I'm going to have these but it's been a year and a half and they still look and vape like new!

I'm glad the REO didn't come in a kit -- what if I had my own charger and batteries that I could use as most experienced vapers do? I think it's better to design your own package and pick and choose your own accessories :)

Good Luck to you Dayvid :thumb:

Your a smart person, asking questions. I read allot about the REO's before I found one in the classifieds. It was new, never used. I had a couple of questions, thought I had some issues, sent Rob some PM's. Guess what, he treated me like I had bought it directly from him. Then this forum, great people and a loyal following. You won't regret a minute of vaping or money spent on a REO. If you get one, you'll get a free banana dance! How can you pass that up?

^^this^^

plus: as we both vape, we spend way much more on an arry of vaping stuff till we found the reo.
and all of a sudden vaping begame much more cheaper due to no more liquid loss due to spilling and such
and no more fast dying atty's and/or carto's, they last us way much longer now.
and hassle free, no tisues, no cleaning atty's all the time, no more carrying around a load of stuff
just a mini and a couple of batts is all we carry around (the 3ml is enough for us for the day)
