Noob - Upgrade?

So I received my SkyCig yesterday - the battery life is very, very poor... it seems like I can chain smoke it for 15-20 mins then it has to recharge.

So after browsing the forums, looking for an upgrade, I've come to the conclusion that it must be one of these two (I'm in the UK):

Vape Escape Vision 900 Upgrade £49.99 - Deluxe Vaping Kits - Vape Escape Vision 900 Electronic Cigarettes | Vaping Devices | Accessories | E-Liquid

The VE Riva 1100 Deluxe Kit £34.95 - Deluxe Vaping Kits - Riva 1100 Kit Electronic Cigarettes | Vaping Devices | Accessories | E-Liquid

The first takes my interest - I'm looking for something that's easy to refill and use, so would it be? And could I use any of the liquids on that site? And would I need anything extra?

Thanks for any help, this forum is great.

I would imagine there are B&M shops in London where you could talk to someone about it to get what it is that fits you best. I think Cloud 9 is based there. And I'm sure that doing that could probably get you something for less than 50 pounds. Also, developing a relationship with someone local can be invaluable. My two cents... pence.

i managed to get a variable voltage battery and a vivi nova tank for about £40. they also gave me 2 bottles of eliquid that was lovely and a few extra cartomizers to play with. i love the variable voltage because it allows me to ajust the battery to my taste and preference :) also it is a kit for that price so you get the charger as well. which just happens to be passthrough so if your batter is running low you can plug it in and use it while it charges. what i like about this batter also is that the button is a colour codes led which uses a simple red , amber and green to show you your battery life.

i got it from here Electronic Cigarettes - iTaste VV 510 Clearo - also if you do a quick google search you can fnd a discount code on top of the great price.

I would go with the riva. My gf has been using a riva kit(650mah) from libertyflights.com for over a year now.All I have to say is WOW, she refuses to upgrade. They are a good bang as well. They have a uk site as well .co.uk or just go to there website and they have two different flags you can click on(american flag or the british flag) hope this helps and good luck

BTW it should be under starter kits
ps throat is going to depend on how strong the nic tint is and weather it is VG or PG
c ya around

just to add to this vg is high vapour , high pg is throat hit :) so when you buy liquid ( or make your own) if you want throat hit look for a high pg content :) i think 70/30 is a common pecentage for a throaty mix.

Honesty both kits are very similar. You should be fine with either. The Riva has more battery capacity and both cartos and a clearomizer tank, I would pick the Riva. You could aways buy another tank.

I just decided to upgrade my battery for the same reason of short battery life. Having just started vaping I haven't perfected it yet and I'm chain vaping. Not sure if it is the nic levels of my juice or my technique. I'm vaping at 6mg because I smoked 'ultra light' analogs to begin with. My batteries are 150 and 250 mAh, so I ordered a Volt x2 at 1300mAh. I am going through at least two of the batteries per day and hoping the Volt will decrease that and I can use the other batteries for "carry-arounds". I'm also going to try a higher nic level with my next order and see if that helps any.

I think one problem might be psychosomatic in the fact that after smoking analogs for 36 years I am so used to the hand-to-mouth fixation. I think the other might just simply be I LOVE THE FLAVORS of vaping!!! I'm soooo confused ;)

Of the choices in the links you provided...I'd go with the 1100 mAh one. You get cartomizers with it...and they are MUCH less hassle and leak prone than the clearomizers in the other kit. Cartomizers can be VERY easy to fill...just get a needle top bottle! No dripping, no waiting to soak. Easy peasy. My experiences with clearomizers have been pretty bad. Mostly cracking and leaking issues...but also the flavor just isn't that strong. They are just a PITA. Plus 1100 mAh is going to last you longer between charges. JMHO.
