I've never heard of a Vogue. Do they have a website? How much is the kit?

A KR808 is a good mini pv. The KR808 is the type of battery it uses. The 510 is good too, I have one and like it. Just so you know, mini batteries don't last a real long time. Rule of thumb is about 1 hour per 100 mah. So if it's a 280 mah battery, that's about 3 hours of continous vaping on a new battery.

There are many good suppliers for a KR808 here on the forum. Vapor 4 Life, Volt by Smokeless Image, Bloog are a few.

never heard of vogue but 808 is the size of the atomizer/cartomizer connection. 510 is different, its just the most common one found. are you looking for a super mini (real cig) sized one? because the batteries on those dont last long. few hours tops. they have 510 clearomizers or fluxomizers. the G4's come in both 808 and 510.Cartomizers - G4 Cartomizers - e-Vape Kits
From the same site:
if your looking for a good starter kit at a great price check out Starter Kits - e-Vape Kits they have great prices and free shipping over $40.
personally id throw a clear dual coil on on of these big battery kits. they work GREAT! Cartomizers - Smok Tech Cartomizers - e-Vape Kits

feel free to ask me any other questions you may have.

808 vs 510 is a loaded question. The numbers refer to the fitting. Some people love only one or the other, I have never used anything that didn't take a 510. You will find more venders with 510 stuff than 808's. But the biggest thing here is what Swedishfish said, battery life is short on the ciggy style pvs. That drove me nuts and I didn't totally quit analogs til I got an eGo. You may be fine, but keep in mind that this may only be a stepping stone and don't pay too much!

Also I'm looking to stop completely and start vaping. If one battery goes three hours you have a second one for additional 3 hours. 6 hours of constant vaping seems like alot for a day isnt? Vogue seems descent but will not buy a crappy one. And yes I think at least for now I want a mini but do not know of anything else

If you are in a place where you can have access to electric, you can just switch one battery out and have another charging, so its no big deal. If you work at a place where you can't charge, it might be better to get something with a better battery. You can also get chargers for your car and personal chargers and USB passthrus to help with all of that. Cig easy has a new Elite that has a longer lasting battery. It has gotten some good reviews here.

If you are going to order a Volt, do it soon, because right now they have a 21% code- only good for a couple more days. I have a Volt and I like it. The Volt has cartomizers instead of the carts/attys that the Vogue has. I would recommend a manual battery, since filling cartos can get messy and you can ruin the automatic batteries if you get juice in them. I also got a T-Rexx on deep discount and like that even better.

Now, if I could just find an e-liquid that I like!

Its all very confusing, but peeps here are very helpful. Good luck with your choice.

also, I am a closet vaper, but when everyone is gone during the day, I vape almost constantly, so maybe 6 hrs is not that much.

I started with standard 510's, then mega 510's, now 900ma eGo's. Have my eye on the new eGo 1100ma with lcd battery indicators. Trying to justify buying a couple of those since I have 3 fairly new eGo's now.

If you are dead set on mini's, do go with the mega. Same slim diameter, just a bit longer. Wife is using these now with LR cartos and they perform nicely. All of my gear is Genuine Joye products, and have yet to have any fail even abusing them with LR cartos.

If it's KR808D-1 that is fine but do they they have manual batteries? Most people here use and recommend manual batteries. Easier to get a good hit and harder to damage or kill with the occasional small leak when you are refilling cartomizer to use them for days each.

If it's KR808D-2, no. KR808D-1 is the most popular 2-piece and the exact model to buy if you want prefilled cartomizers as well as blank. it also has great hit for a slim ecig because it is a real 3.7v mini. But KR808D-2 is the incompatible near-twin used by some rebranders.

Most buy KR808D-1 at places like Vapor4Life, SmokelessImage (Volt), Bloogplanet (Maxxfusion), Halocigs (G6) and I know the first two have manual batteries in at least some colors. The Vapor4Life manuals are not sealed as well but have a standard size button and I think a longer safety cutoff (you can take a longer drag). The SmokelessImage Volt models are rubberized with I think 3.6v instead of 3.7, a it longer charge, and the manuals are totally sealed though have a tiny partially recessed button that is harder to press.

KR808D-1 can use a DSE901 atomizer with no adapter, other attys with an adapter (use standard resistance atomizers only, not LR). An atomizer is good for testing juices.

Hello from the Thumb! I'm pretty new at this, but settling in. I use a Volt KR808D-1 and am very happy with it. I paid a bit more for my kit, but I got a charging case as well, which I love, as well as outstanding service from Smokeless Image. I like their juices best of all I've tried so far, too. (Which isn't many, to be fair.)

Having said that, there's something to be said for supporting the local guy, especially in this state. If he doesn't carry everything you find you'll need (cartos, juice, charging case, etc.), he might start if you've already bought the kit from him and he knows he'll have your business. It'd be great if I could stop at the local smoke shop and get supplies!

I'm going to risk being secretly yelled at for suggesting skipping on the 808 or 510's and just jump into an Ego. I started on 808's and quit smoking immediately. I did, however, quickly outgrow it and moved on to an Ego and LOVE it. I got a USB enabled Ego battery, which is different than a passthrough because it doesn't need to be attached to a power source to work.

Joye eGo USB pushbutton battery

It's pretty legit... it's always charged 'cause I'm never far away from a power source (computer, car/ cig lighter charger) long enough for it to ever lose power. (Egos take a 510 thread so any 510 atty or carto will work on it as far as I know.)

I'm at the point that I'm looking to buy a couple more and take my first step into mods (GLV3 specifically) but that's another story for a different day.

Be forewarned, vaping sucks you in harder than you can suck in its sweet sweet nicotiney vapor. Be prepared for wins and losses, but most importantly be prepared as you're embarking on a completely new life. It's awesome.
Welcome!!!

Ok I'm between and eGo and a volt. What has a stronger hit? And I know the vogue has cartos at this store a few friends have them. Would you drop with it off the atty?

Good with both, better hit with an ego with low resistance cartomizers. You can purchase an ego (riva) from Liberty Flight for $29.99. A box of Boge 2.0 cartomizers from Good Prophets for $5.99 for a pack of 5. Coupon code at GP is TVCFriend. Purchase juice and fill them yourself from a juice vendor.

Personally, I think $70 is a lot of money for a mini and so is $25 for an extra battery. Do they offer any warranty at all?

It's entirely up to you. You can get a less expensive kit online but if you want to buy locally, do that. Will they let you try out pvs in the store? Try the KR808 and the Ego, see which one you like better. I would definitely not buy the ego there though. They're selling a no-name Ego for $99 and you can get a Riva for $30 at LF.
