Hey guys, I'm new here, name is William from the republic of Ireland and just have a few questions, I'm 23, smoke around 20 - 25 a day and really wish to give up.

Have tried a few times but not that successful, however, I'm willing to give these e-cigarettes a try, I know that its not a tool to help stop smoking, but I think I'm willing to try it as I've read in a lot of places that its not full of the harmful chemicals, so it must be at least a little bit less harmful than the 'analogue' ones.

Basically my questions are as follows:

1. Can any of the United Kingdom guys and gals please point me in the right direction to what website or online shop I can purchase these from?

2. Menthol, I understand that there is different flavors, I normally smoke consulate cigarettes or Marlboro green so would really stick with a menthol type cigarette.

3. What make/model? As with anything I suppose, there seems to be a huge selection of different brands out there. Can anyone point me in the right direction, I'd prefer a mini, but something that looks as close to and feels as close to the real thing in my hand.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance for the help.

My 2 penn'orth - check out Intellicig. UK based, great menthol carts and even better customer service. You'll find that they're happy to chat about what you want - give John a call. They're a kind of supermini - I use these and a 901 from Pillbox (and soon will be trying a classic penstyle from him). Totally Wicked e-liquid is very good - if you get the strong stuff then cut it 50/50 with glycerine for safety and lots of vapour! And no, I don't work for either of them - just a very happy end-user:)

i would recommend a mirage e cig which is almost exactly the same size as a regular ciggie. it produces lots of vapour and the menthol cartridges give you a real good throat kick. i got mine from ebay for 39.99 and it came with 2 batteries, atomiser, charger and 50 menthol carts. he has a shop as well at miragecigarettes.co.uk

Thanks lads for all the replies!! its been a long time since i've found a forum this friendly and helpful!

Just to let you guys know, I went with ecigs from the uk as i've heard there is an active member on here!

so far i've only bought the start kit, the 901 for 30 pounds which i thought was a very good price.

The funny thing is, the first time I heard about the e cig was at a show type event here in dublin, a company called gumacci or something, but they were quite expensive.. i had another look around on the internet and found this place!! great site lads thanks for all the help!!

also, just curious, but how are people finding ecigs on their wallets? are you guys actually saving a bit of money??

in ireland, a pack of 20 is now over 8 euros.. which means that i'm spending close to 60 euros on cigs for the week!! have you guys saved money??

Nice one guys!

as for my personal scenario, I normally smoke a lot when i drive, have been working a second job for the last 5 years that means i'll be sitting in the car for most of the night, this means that i'll smoke like a trooper, up to 15 just between 5pm and 1am.

Its good to hear that you guys are saving money, and again, i'm really glad i found this forum!

also, does anyone know the user who runs e cigs dot co dot uk?

Hi, Oregato
I know you have already ordered but for future orders.

Smokester Simon E-cigs also offers a 5% discount for forum members.
Just put ecigreview in the discount box when paying.

I dont know simon personally but I do use him all the time.
So far Excellent service - Quick reply to emails and all orders I have placed before 1pm have been dispatched the same day.
All my orders placed with free P&P have been received next day so far .

I expect orders placed in December may be slower because of the Christmas post.

He also offers a 30 day guarantee on batteries and atomisers.
He sends the replacement straight away with a pre-stamped envelope for you to return the faulty item.

I am happy to recommend him to anyone.

I got a dse-901b in the beginning of October with 15ml of liquid. Earlier this month I got another 4 10ml bottles and 2 spare atomizers. I had to return my first atomizer, so that makes 4 total. I'm currently on atomizer #3 and have about 30ml of liquid left.

I also have 2 packs of cartridges(both given free :D) that I'm not using, but will squeeze out when I feel the necessity. (I drip-smoke).

Also, all of my stuff was from Steve at Puresmoker.com.

$50 for the kit, $10 per bottle of liq, $10 per atomizer... so... about $120 aside from shipping down so far. Starting out is a bit expensive, but it gets much cheaper as time goes on.

How long have you had yours Igetcha?

ive only had my e cigs for about 2 weeks but they are still going strong at the moment!

ive just brought a black 901 with blue led from Ebay as everyone else on this forum seems to rave on about them! i managed to get it for just £19.99 which included 2 batteries, charger, atomiser, case and 10 carts! i was never interested in the 901 as it looks soooooooooo long and i really wanted the mirage due to its petite size. however, im starting to feel as though im missing out by not having one! i figured that i will smoke my mirage when im at work or out and about and smoke the 901 when im indoors! should get it in the post tomorrow with a bit of luck!

Hopefully you'll like the 901, the general opinion here seems to be that you can't really go wrong getting one of those for starters.

When you've had a few weeks to compare with your Mirage maybe you could do a review on the review board about the super mini. I don't recall anyone having reviewed Mirage before.

The extra length of the mini won't bother you after a while, you'll be wanting performance before any other consideration soon enough. :)
