First post... knocking this out so I can seriously pick some brains out here.
Vaped 6 mths ago, went solo and stuck to nicotine only. Quit after 2 weeks and started smoking again.
This time picked out some flavors outta vape dojo then got introduced to HALO juice and fell in love with midnight apple, prime 15 and tribeca. Tried MVB and it was a bust. $50 worth of juice and I haven't touched most of it in 2 weeks. Jizmoglobin, Gwary4 and 555 r ok. Hawk sauce sucks. Been steeping with tops off for a week and tops on for another. Still smell like perfume.
Just ordered nickoticket cls, bettlejuice and h1n1.
also upgraded evods to nautilus and aerotank 2.0 bases r on the way for mini protank and PT2 with kanger VV 1000s.
Really wanna get into coil building but wifey rather I buy coils then a torch gun. She says I'm not handy but I disagree...
So that's how my vaping has been evolving.[emoji39]

I can't use MBV juices either. I've tried a bunch and only Butterscotch and Cinnamon Bun is decent to me, their Strawberry Banana is decent as well, but it is a tank cracker. I tried Gwar Bloodbath and regretted every ml. I think MBV is great for some and deal for their prices if you like it.

Nickoticket... people love here, I never tried it yet.

And usually if your wife ask others to do things around the house to save you from injury, she might be correct.

Welcome!
Hubby builds coils for me. LOL I guess it takes practice and I am sure you can get enough practice vaping.
I like MBV thug juice and ecto cooler. I do buy some DIY supplies from them though.
My son has a subscription to a monthly juice service its nice to try out new stuff.
I like the aerotank base nice upgrade for a protank.

MBV is a minefield...some real winners and some losers. I don't like hawk sauce either unless it's mixed with a sweeter berry flavor. Thug juice, green ice, ecto cooler, red cream soda and mango iced tea are a few winners for me. Read the reviews carefully and buy the 15 ml bottles at first if you continue to buy from them.

Nicoticket is amazing. I'm vaping Betelgeuse right now but they're going to cost more.

I'm not handy either but I learned to build my first coil in like 20 mins. Pick up a good kayfun clone and you'll figure it out in no time.

As others have suggested, the aerobase upgrade for protanks is great. Also you can learn to rebuild the protank heads and it is a huge upgrade.

Don't let her dissuade you from trying! It's really quite easy. I got myself one of these coil jigs to make it even easier, as I build all the coils for myself and hubby. KK Vapetek Atomizer Coil Jig

Also, you don't need to get a torch. You can use a lighter to oxidize kanthal and set the coil, or you can be even lazier and do what I do. I wind the coil, mount it to the atty, check the ohms on my MVP 2 and if the resistance checks out okay I fire it with the MVP before I put in the wick. If they glow red from the middle, outward in a uniform way, I release the fire button and use tweezers to push the coils together while they're still hot to form a micro coil. Then I fire again to make sure they stay in place and wick with cotton. You don't even need a rebuildable topper to build coils. Try to rebuild your Protank 2 coils first.

Mvp 2 and ohm meter... if i buy another piece of hardware, I'm divorced. Maybe let this rush die down, then gear up for mods when I can justify it to the BOSS! Just got a message from nickoticket... cool dude or lady, idk. Prices aren't bad either, close to HALO. I almost bought five pawns so nicko still seems like a deal! I'm pretty done with MBV. Gonna Uninstaller their app. I'm sure they're good in their own way, just not for me...

Ohm meters are cheap. $15 or around there. If you get one, you don't need the MVP 2, or a torch. You can fire the coils on the Kanger VV's to oxidize them and set them. If it would be an issue with your wife though, please don't listen to me. I have shinyitus really bad. It's terrible, the amount of money I've spent in the last few months. I seem to be intent on spreading shinyitus to others too. All those shiny new gadgets to try out there....

Once you get enough posts, you should head on over to the PIF thread. I think it's under community and then miscellanous? You can trade the MBV juice you don't like there. This way, it doesn't go to waste. I've traded there before, but recently I've been shipping out the juice I'm not thrilled with to my sister.

I do the same thing Tinkiegrrl said..... wrapping the coil installing it in my dripper and and fire it on my Kamry, then release and use tweezers to pinch them together while they are still hot, wick with Organic cotton get the cotton nice and saturated with my juice fire it a couple times and vuala it's ready to go :)

Your on the right path, I heard so much about Nicoticket and had to try them, I will say I found my new go to vender I tried almost everything they have and like them all very much. as for the tanks you will find the airflow is the game changer, and for the vv kangers their nice too, but for 40-50 bucks the MVP 2 will last just as long or longer than two kangers before it needs a charge, it has a ohm reader, and its nice you can use it as its charging(passthough). or if yu out and notice your cell phones dead it even can charge that, personally I would rather vape than talk on the phone though. If your not ready to mod yet the MVP is the perfect next step.

Ohm question on nautilus, or confirmation of observation I should say...
1.6 ohm coil at 3.6V is my sweet spot for halo prime 15. On a 1.8 the sweet spot is 3.8 or 4. The higher the resistance, the higher voltage I need to get to sweet spot?
So not bother with 2.5 coils cuz I'm just gonna kill the battery faster. Right?
