I have a 510-T that I purchased a few days ago. This was to be an improvement over the Walmart gas station purchased 21st Century E-Cig, which was actually not too bad. I went with the 510-T because it does not use a wick. The 510-T is not a bad system, but I feel it could be better. For example, it screams for a better battery, which I plan on getting as soon as I can scratch up the $30 to buy it. Would the Ego Twist be a good fit for this system?

I'm also having some trouble with the tank leaking from time to time, usually when I take too hard of a draw. This happens more than it should because I'm often pulling too hard on it to make up for the week battery. Are there any other systems like the 510-T that don't use a wick? I've heard of the Ego-C and understand it's the same way, but I've heard of it leaking as well for some. What do you call the type of system on the 510-T that uses a tank with no wick and no cartomizer?

Thanx for the help.

ANY system that uses a cartridge+ atomizer (2 pieces) is prone to leaks as the hole in the cartridge becomes enlarged and juice leaks out. If you could provide a link to your present PV that would help.

I was looking to purchase an official Joye 510-T starter kit, but I'm fairly certain I got a knock-off as there "Joye" is no where on the the device, box or manual. It was purchased at a local vape shop. I would have gone with the brand name, but I didn't know there were knockoffs at the time. However, in looking at the official Joye 510-T, I can see no difference whatsoever. I do know that threads are "510 compatible". Any of the sites showing the 510-T should suffice.

As for the leaks, I found they are greatly diminished if I line up the long side of the cartridge with the long end of the atomizer, but if I draw too hard, I still get some juice in my mouth. The whole issue where you have to line it up could be easily resolved if the carts and the atomizer were keyed so that they would only go in one way. It would keep them from twisting too!

Does this "2 piece" system have a particular name?

Okay so you have a cig sized 510.

They have caps that can be bought and installed thus making for new material for a new/ fresh hole.

It's generally called a "tank" system and if you look at the contents of the kit you'll usually see:
2 X atomizers
5 X cartridges.
All standard JoyTech eGo-C and eGo-T have this system unless specified. Google "eGo-C or eGo-T leaking"...lottsa hits. If you do buy a larger battery realize your present charger will take a long time to charge the batts.
