NOOBIE: Tried Greensmoke, Blu, NewSmoke. Could use some advice

Hi,

Over the summer of 2012, I picked up a NewSmoke e-cig from a tobacco store; total waste of money! Researching the better brands via online reviews led me to Greensmoke, which I ordered. I gave up my Marlboro Lights around Thanksgiving and haven't gone back, but I want an e-cig or vap & e-juice that really TASTES like a Marlboro Light. The Red Label is probably the closest I've found so far, but flavor is inconsistent from carto to carto, and their claims to being cheaper don't add up. I was a 1/2 pack/day smoker and their cartos last a day if lucky. "300 puffs"? "Pack and a half"? HA! Maybe a couple of cigarettes at best. And their other flavors?
"Vanilla"- brought to mind what smoking a Vanilla Candle might taste like.
"Menthol"- ...in what alternate universe? I smoked Kools and Newports in the past and this was like no menthol cigarette I've ever tasted. (No menthol smoker I know recognizes it either)
"Mocha Mist"- Coffee-ish... Not bad for the 1st puff, and maybe the 2nd, but by the 3rd, it turned nasty.
"Absolute Gold"- Very similar to the Blu "Classic Tobacco"... Not really bad, just not my fave.

Does anyone know the best way to get that Marlboro taste?

there are a million different flavors of ejuice for best flavor i would recommend moving to different style of ecig i used the disposables and i noticed that the cartomizers seemed great at first then progressively worse over time until a new cart is put on as far as the flavors go they were nasty attempts at recreating tobacco flavors and i did not care for them but they helped tremendously with cravings now i have moved onto an ego c twist i love it because i can set the volts according to my mood or preference at the time and really dial in each type of cart or clearo i am using. as far as what type of juice to use it doesn't taste like a marb light but it tastes a bit like very fine tobacco is "boba's bounty" you can get it over a avejuice.com i like to add a lil of the "bees knees" every once in a while to sweeten things up a bit. every time i see or smell a analog now i am reminded of the nasty taste of cigarettes that i used to crave so much and how much better i feel vaping something that actually tastes and smells good. hope u get it figured out were rooting for ya

You will never find a cart or juice that will taste like a cig. Just something to get used to, which defiantly happens after a few weeks!

Also I'd recommend to shy away from the cig-a-likes. Try a joyetech eGo twist, buy a tank to go on it & some juice - fill your own stuff. It will last all day.

I will third this post- get an eGo-C, and you will never find a vape that tastes like 'burros'...
best thing is- there are a boatload of really good flavors out there. I have looked at 100s of posts and tried a dozen different 'bacco' juices- none taste like 'bacco' and none are really good. (Close one is 'Smooth Tobacco' from MVS)
I start my day with 'Coffee' and go to some other flavor soon thereafter...Maple Pecan, Peach, Watermelon, Key Lime

Congrats on quitting Dianna, and everyone is right when recomending an ego. Great upgrade to get you started on your way.

I went thru the same progression as you, started with Blu disposables, then went to the blu batteries, I went all in, bought the starter kit ($69) I was probably buying a 5 pack of cartos a week $15. Christmas time came and I found a shop in Buffalo (Vapor Trails) and decided to buy a vision spinner kit ($69) I have never been happier, I think I might have had a pack of analogs since that day, I can buy a vivi nova tank and heads to last me a month for $10, and enough juice for a month for $10 and save a tone of money over blu's not to mention my two pack a day of analogs. The vapor production and throat hit makes me not want analogs, and I feel great. I think that Blu's and greensmoke etc got me started on the e-cig idea, but until I bought an eGo type battery, I really couldn't fully commit to vaping. Just wanted to share an experience that I thought might help. I started out with the Blu (early Christmas gift from the gf) then quickly moved on to Greensmoke (early gift for myself). I was satisfied for awhile but got tired of constantly having to change cartos and getting bad cartos. But it did help!

I went from about 10-15 analogs a day to only 3-5 once i got into the Greensmoke. Once i was starting to swap out the analogs with vaping, I found that i wasn't really craving the "tobacco" flavor. In fact, analogs just didn't seem as satisfying anymore. Don't feel bad if you have the occasional analog while you're starting out with vaping. It's all part of the transition process.

When i finally got my eGo kit and tried it out, i knew for sure that i was done with the smoky treats. I looked for a lot of tobacco flavored juices but couldn't really find anything that felt like a true Marlboro or Camel. The juices that said they taste like real cigarettes were horrible for the most part.

I've ended up with several great flavors from Heather's Heavenly Vapes. Dragon's Fire, Pirate's Booty, Legend (formerly Gandalf), Darkhorse, Huntsman, etc. All are quite good! Bottomline: You will probably find yourself actually not craving the true cigarette taste once you find the right flavor.
