Noobie with Specific Question

Hey everybody,

This is a wonderful site. I've been doing lots of research on here so as not to ask any questions that are easily available, so thanks for all the information here. I do have a specific question I was not able to find info for, so hopefully somebody will be able to help me, or point me in the right direction:

Will the nicotine from e-cigs show up on a blood/urine nicotine test? Does anybody know the extent of how it compares to cigarettes, and if there's a certain amount of time to avoid them before a test? I hope this question isn't redundant or annoying.

By the way, I know that to some extent the answer will depend on how often I use the e-cig, how strong the liquid, etc etc. I was hoping for a general idea of where the nicotine levels stand in response to the body, nicotine levels, and tests. Thanks!

Nicotine is nicotine.

If you ingest it or inhale it, it will go in your blood and to your brain.

Doesn't matter if it is smoked, chewed, sniffed, or vaped.

Also, after finally posting this, I had the idea to search "insurance" instead of just 'nicotine test' and found some info, so I'm sorry about posting.

Curious, does anybody have an idea of how long nictoine stays in the body? I 've seen anywhere from 24hrs - 65 days.

Now that is a tough question with various data depending on which study you'd look at.

Except for the new one saying it builds up in the brain and doesn't really ever leave, I'd say you have the range correct.

Remember, plenty of water & B complex vitamins are your flushing system's best friend.
