I made an account specifically to get answers to these questions. I've seen good questions here on the forum, but the answers tend to drift off after the fist one or two and no conclusion ever gets made.

In order of importance to me (the noob):

1.) I tend to only get three "events" per cartridge before I switch to a new one. I don't mean "puffs" , but times to the e-cig. I smoke it like an analog and after the third visit to the cig it seems to just be a hassle to get the smoke/nicotine that I want. I've had 5 so far today (working on the 5th still). This is stock blu smoke cartridges.

2.) What is the most commonly held belief as the "best" e-Cig? Or the best for categories (smoke, battery life, price, etc.)

3.) Am I smoking this thing right? Should I be wanting to have a real good feel in the chest and good smoke or am I trying to hard to get the feel of a real cig?

I had tons of others, but mainly the first question about running through carts is bothering me. It's not a "health" issue as much as a money "am I doing it right" thing.

Thanks in advance.

1. Blu carts are small and don't wick well so it helps you're breaking it up into "events". You didn't ask a question on this point so I'll just say you can take tweezers and flip the filler upside down so the wet part hits the bridge.

2. I'm not qualified to answer this, plus the task sounds daunting.

3. Are you taking long, light draws into your mouth first and then lungs? If so, yes. I can understand you wanting it to feel like a cig. Feel to me implies throat hit (TH) which depends on the nic content in the liquid, the device, and the propylene glycol(PG)/ Vegetable Glycerin(VG) mix - VG being smoother.

Hope this helps a little.

Do you have any more specific questions dude? Or maybe you don't know what to ask since it's a new experience. Hm.

You mentioned money - pre-filled carts are gonna be an expensive way to go. It's easy to clean the carts and filler (just rinse 'em out) and then refill with eliquid - which opens up all variety of flavors and nicotine strengths.

As far as a good (can't speak on best) e-cig NOT including the wide variety of mods, my vote goes for the eGo/Tornado. Long battery life (6hrs heavy vape, all day usually for me), not too expensive, carts are bigger and will last longer than your Blu. Less hassle, much better performance.

That's all I got right now :)

the 510 seems to be just about the favorite three peice unit with the downside of having poor battery life. I love mine it has amazing amount of vapor as well as more throat hit than I can handle at times.

The KR808 seems to win for ease of use strong flavor and better battery life. I can't say from personal experience but I have read it enough times from people much more experienced than me.

For myself I think I will be just fine sticking with the 510 and buying a good battery mod. or the mega batteries.

A company I can vouch for is Cignot they sell the 510 kit (two complete e-cigs) for $35 and they have amazing customer service with super super fast shipping. I think you can get free shipping if you go over 50 or 60 bucks. The Ry4 vg 25mg is still one of my favorite liquids. So for about 60 bucks you can get a great kit and some extras delivered super fast.

I didnt have to peel the foil on my Blu. However, suggestions here led me to make sure to push it on tight and twist it around a few times to make sure the att had access.

Im a light smoker, and the Blu Light strength is working for me, but thats my habit. When I got my first vaporizer, I tried to smoke it like a cig, and got frustraited untill it clicked and I started using it like what it is, and its not a cig.

One thing I did learn is that a big cloud of vapor doesnt mean anything, and worse, its a waste of fluid and battery power. That is, unless you like a big cloud of vapor. :D

The Blu seems to me like a simple delivery system. If you arent getting the buzz you want, its time to look for stronger juice, and if it doesnt give you the throat hit you want, maybe a larger vaporizer.

I have volcanoe cigs which are essentially the same thing as the blus and I think the vapor production is ok but I really do not care for the flavors at all. I had the menthol, cherry lava, and regular tabacco. The Vanilla Bean in my opinion is the most pleasant though I have not tried the coconut or the coffee flavors. But all the previous posts are correct if you twist your atty while putting it through the foil on the cart it works much better

Totally ditto Brad's comments above! Ordered an eGo to address the short battery life issue. 510 and Cignot for sure...cannot go wrong with either!

Dude, the 510 and KR808D-1 are the most popular models with the ecf membership (1 & 2 I believe) because they earned their keep. "Best" is very relative to many factors, an important one being your intended use. But those two models are solid, loads of available accessories, and upgradeable as your needs/wants change.

Welcome ecf!

510 with cartomizers, hands down, until you get bored with it and decide to step up to 5v vaping. With a cartomizer, you should be able to make it through most of the day without switching cartos, 2 should definitely last you all day, from your description. Batteries are another story, but as long as you have spares, or a PCC, you'd be fine.
