This week I am nostalgic about VC Andrew's novels.
The older the better!!
The original VC Andrews died a long time ago, but after that, a "mystery" writer was allowed to write new, very similar novels under her name.
I was surprised to find some of my favorites were supposedly written by the new mystery writer, rather than VC Andrews herself. Some of the ones that came out shortly after her death were so similar to her writing, and were still great novels.
Since then, I think, but am not sure, that another person has taken over writing under VC Andrews name, new novels are still coming out, but the ones I have checked out in more recent years, in my opinion, haven't been that great.
I liked the VC Andrews fan facebook page and am delighted to hear plans to remake the movie "Flowers in the Attic."
Other novels are also supposed to be made into movies as well.
I'm a re-reader. If there is a book I really, really enjoy, or a series, I like to go back to it again later and enjoy it again. So occasionally I find myself re-reading the whole Flowers in the Attic series, as well as a few other favorites, like the Cutler (Dawn) series and the Casteel (Heaven) series. I recently found out on the FB page that the 1st Casteel book was actually based on a true story!! I wish I knew which parts were real events, and which weren't, that sounds very intriguing lol.
Who else is a VC Andrews fan? How many times have you read the Flowers in the Attic series? (I have countless times lol). Are you excited about a NEW Flowers in the Attic movie? What other VC Andrews series should be made into a movie, or maybe even a tv series?? I'd love to hear your thoughts!!
