iStick30+Kanger Toptank Mini (1.2ohm)+Black Note Prelude 50/50 12mg
I couldn't whizz fast enough through the manuals that came with my gear…I didn't even bother to check the authenticity codes.
Black Note Prelude is a great way to start off…quality juice no doubt.
I primed the coil from the top and the sides with a drop or two….filled up that tank from the top with no incidents and let it lie for about 5-10 minutes to soak in nicely. I must say the threads on this tank are not smooth as I'd like…plus the bottom turns are tricky ... I initially found all I was doing was opening the airholes...the top was a bit stiff too….Kanger say you have to be careful as you can break the glass if you don't grip the right parts while turning. Just glad I didn't get any of the much reported leaking…not even a smidge.
istick read 1.2 coil as 1.9ohms…after firing once or twice it settled down at 1.4ohms where it has stayed ever since. Set it at 12.6 W on 4.2V and gave it a go. 12.6 is the reading I got on steam engine….not sure how far I can push these coils….Kanger says up to 25W…lol…but I don't want to fry these coils so soon….making coils last at least 2-3 weeks is my mission.
I initially got a crazy throat hit but that was because I had the air hole open halfway….dialled it down to a couple of mm and it's good now.
Initial Thoughts:
• This could very easily replace the analogs for me…feeling is almost exactly the same…without the rank burnt smell and unpleasantness. Guess the Prelude is to be thanked for a large part.
• I have a long way to go to learn the MTL draw style but it's improving with every try.
• I need to figure out the ideal combo of PG/VG and Nic levels that will work for me in future.
Thinking 12 mg and 70VG…hope this won't gum up my tanks…since my could range from 1.2 to 1.8
