Not being notified when mentioned

For the past while, I've noticed I am not alerted when I'm mentioned in a thread with @smacuser.

I found out about winning a couple of giveaways only by revisiting those threads, and saw where I've been mentioned in other threads without being alerted. I checked my preferences and all my alerts are enabled.

It depends on how it was input. Tagging someone MUST be done on the original post with no errors. If there's an edit, or the tag is added during the edit, it doesn't work at all.

We tested in house and it appears to be working OK. We're definitely not seeing any issues behind the scenes, either.
