Not enough vapor

Alright, so here's the situation:

Just received my CHUCK with all the parts. I'm using a 510 cartomizer, dripping the juice directly on the wadding until it's nice and slushy, not in the middle. Battery is a standard Li-ion protected 18650 3.7v. juice is from TastyVapor, using Boston Cream Pie and Irish Cream. 100% PG, no VG, 12mg nicotine, sweetener added.

When I vape, it produces vapor before I inhale, but after I exhale, NOTHING comes out. No matter how much I take in, NOTHING comes out. It does produce vapor before I inhale though.

Will adding voltage or VG help produce more vapor? I want to visibly see the vapor coming out when I exhale... HELP! :)

This is a puzzler.

Higher voltage helps, but 3.7 is plenty (on a freshly charged 18650, you're probably getting closer to 4.0V). VG over PG helps also, but unless something really weird is going on at TastyVapor, you should be getting some vapor.

Are you holding vapor in your lungs for very long periods before you exhale? That's a stealth-vape technique some people use.

Yes - VG makes more visible vapor - even 10% VG will make significantly more vapor. It make also soften TH a bit and might dim some flavors a bit because it's a bit sweeter than PG. It is also thicker. I generally vape 70pg/30vg or 80pg/20vg

The amount of vapor still seems to vary between companies, and of course you exhale less than you inhaled because it doesn't hang around as long as smoke.

A lot of things will diminish what you see on exhale. PG over VG and not exhaling immediately as stated above but also the humidity of your surroundings. When I'm in my home where the air is dry I puff out ok clouds but if I'm outside and it's cool and humid I'll blow out plumes of vapor. The 1.5 atty or 2.0 carto will make a huge difference too.

I know how you feel though. Even if you feel it kick your throat something just seems weak if you don't SEE that cloud you feel.

Something may be wrong with your carto also. Do you have a straight atty you could drip on to see if that produces. Second cause could be something with your Chuck. I know these are great mods but small mistakes happen which could cause big problems. Do you have a multi meter you can test the Chuck with? I don't think you have a juice iussue, as someone stated above, even straigh PG will produce decent vapor on 18650's.

I started with same problem! Lots of vapor is important to me. Here's my suggestions.

Ditch the cartomizers. Sounds like your dripping anyway. Get a low resistance (2 ohm) atty (I'm using a 510 LR atty). Also use a cart on top or even an empty (dummy) cart/cap. Drip 3drops juice onto the atty and 3 drops into the stuffing in the cart. Be sure to clean out the new atty first by blowing out the primmer crap that it comes with.

Definitely add some VG to your juice. 20 or 30 % should do. makes a big difference. Get or use juice with high nicotine like at least 24mg. that way when you dilute with VG you'll still get "high". Although, I find that lots of VAPOR is what satisfies me the most. Or just buy juice with VG already in it. You can get VG ("glycerin) at walmart or any big drug store.

Follow instructions for puffing on ecigs. Long, slow puff. Use manual battery.

It really works! I was very discouraged at first due to lots of misleading advice. What you use and what you do makes large differences. juices are very different also (vapor production and throat hit). I've hit on a combo that is really working. EXPERIMENT till you find a good method. Dont give up. Good luck!

you could be overfilling your carto. When I fill mine, they are slushy on top. It takes a dozen or so hits to really produce. You do not need to keep filling the carto, fill it, vape until the flavor changes, or tastes burnt, refill. Should last you at least an hour between fills, and that's with extremely heavy vaping.

is this problem specific with the two mentioned juices? have you tried others?
