just received some mbv 555 80 pg 20 vg. Since i started vaping i have been getting my juice from a local b&m that mixes all their juice 60 pg 40 vg. I love the throat hit and flavor of the 80/20 but does not seem to produce a lot of vapor. There is a huge noticeable difference of vapor coming out on exhale.

now if I don't inhale there seems to be a good amount of vapor. Do higher pg blends dissipate upon inhaling? I understand that higher vg produces more vaper. I thinking this is just more of a trick my mind is playing on me because I am used to the 60/40 mix, i just keep thinking my pv isn't working well when it probably is working just fine.

i have been trying to find a youtube video of someone exhaling 80/20 but all the people reviewing juices seem to exhale right into the dang camera which isn't doing me any good.

Higher PG less vapor is correct. PG carries more flavor and throat hit correct. Do you feel like you're getting enough nicotine? If so I wouldn't worry about it. I think vapor production is not as important as taste, throat hit, flavor, satisfaction from nic.

I myself like a warm thick vape so higher VG in most of my liquids. Usually use top coil toppers mostly for that reason. With more PG your gear will last longer between cleanings and such. My blend is 70VG / 30PG but I also like 50/50.

I try not to vape anything that has more than 50/50PG otherwise it doesn't provide enough vapor to be satisfying for me. I vaped 100 VG for a few months and then after that trying PG/VG mixes really lacked in vapor production. Just find a balance between throat hit and vapor production depending on what you like. give 50/50 a try and then add VG to the ratio if you want more vapor or PG if you want more throat hit.

I did notice there is less vapor on the exhale with my 80PG/20VG mix but the flavor and throat hit are great. I vape for the nicotine and the flavor and not the vapor clouds. It took a few days to convince myself that "not seeing clouds" on the exhale was not a sign of equipment malfunction.
Congrats on getting off the stinkies and welcome to the forum.

Hello and welcome to ecf.

Good question about the inhaling vs not and vapor production. Since the vapor disapates at such a fast rate anyway, I think that is why you are seeing more when you don't inhale as vs when you do. If you hold any vaper in your mouth long enough, there will be hardly any come out. I do that when I stealth vape in public so the vapor is almost non-existent. The good thing is- since most of the nic is absorbed through your mouth, nose and throat, there is no need to inhale to get your nic. some of us still inhale because that part of vaping is so hard to stop.

As long as your are getting what you need I wouldn't worry so much. I know, for me anyway, when I first started to vape, that vapor was very important to me also. But as time goes on, and you build confidence that ecigs really do work, it will become less important and take a backseat to flavor and nic satisfaction.

Good luck
:)
