Hey guys, i'm a long time dripper, long time LR 510 user and now that I have the wetbox i have a few basic questions that I'm hoping the pros can help out with.

A. I ordered LR510 Cartomizers (i do not believe they are ceramic, they have filler in them)...so I noticed that they have the the same silicone cover with the 2 holes. I know that a lot of users use the syringe method, but can I just pop that top off (with the 2 holes) and drip directly into the sides of the cartomizer, trying to avoid the center ring and center tube? Or do you guys suggest i use the syringe method to make sure I don't overfill (.05 ml on each side equaling 1ML of liquid).

B. for heavy vapors, taking a vape every 2-4 minutes, how long would a filled carto last? An hour or two? maybe less if it's constantly being vaped? I am using it for the wetbox, so i'm assuming that once the initial filling is done..I'd have to squeeze the bottle a few times, which should get me another 6-10 vapes. So the wetbox in no way will refill the cartos, it will just give me enough juice per session until I need to vape again and then squeeze again, correct?

C. If you are using a wetbox, do people generally fill the cartomizers first, then pump when needed? or do they put a blank cartomizer on there and use the pump method to start vaping?

D. These cartos don't last long right? maybe 5 -6 refills? clean them in water correct? Will i know it's done when vapor production is very minimal?

I'm sorry for these newb questions, i'm very technical with atomizers, i've just never used cartomizers before because I always felt they wont hold the amount of liquid i need, and thought refilling was a pain. But once I saw i can remove the silicone cap with the 2 holes and just drip right in, the method became much easier . I hope that's an ok way to fill them also.

Thanks guys!

I share some of these questions as I'm struggling to find the right mix of cartomizer/juice to really make the wetbox work the way I think it should. It would be great if someone with more experience could chime in and shed some light on these questions/issues. I'll touch on each area with my experience in the hopes that someone who knows what they are doing will jump in and save us...

A. I just pop the silicone ring off and drip right on the filler material until it looks slushy. The LR 510 cartomizers I have, from Clouds of Vapor (1.8 ohm) produce great vapor but they do not seem to be ideally sized for the wetbox. It seems like the needle does not go far enough in there to push the liquid over the center tube and on the filler material. So I either end up pumping a few times then turning it upside down to get the liquid on the mouth end, then reversing in hopes that the liquid will slide back down in the filler material - or - I pump and while holding the pump in I take a toot to simulate dripping. Of course the latter option never fills the cartomizer and the first option is not all that effective.

B. I've yet to find any cartomizer that will last me very long at all before it needs topped off. That's why I got the wetbox, to avoid the constant topping and refilling. So far that's not really happened for me yet. I had one regular 510 cartomizer that worked reasonably well in keeping the filler material full but it did not deliver good vapor or much flavor. The ceramic cartomizers sounded like a great idea, but they don't wick fast enough to be effective even with the PTB mod.

C. I fill the cartomizer first and pump as needed, with mixed results as I've already detailed.

D. I have some Joye 510 cartomizers that I use only on my 510 batteries and I've been able to fill each of them at least a dozen times and they're still going. I clean them every few days by soaking in vinegar, then rinsing with water. Seems to be working well. As for when to toss - poor vapor production or hard draw or funky taste have been the reasons I've thrown them away.

I can't make myself get in to dripping, just too much hassle. I want what we probably all want - the perfect device that self-juices, has great battery life, and requires little maintenance. I'm hoping some inventive ECF member is working on that as we speak :)

Merry Christmas everyone!
