i am becoming more and more frustrated with my carts. it's a constant ongoing battle just filling them. i am lucky if i can get 10 good hits before needing to top off. it's so annoying. i've tried every single cart mod mentioned on the forum, plus a few of my own ides. i did have a day or 2 of limited success with the PTB mod, but that doesn't seem to cut it anymore. i have to admit the best i am finding of late is the actual polly fill which comes in the carts..... i just cut them in half and plug the top of the cart with it. but even that still has me needing to top off so frequently. is it too much to ask to be able to fill a cart and sit back and enjoy vaping for as long as one can enjoy smoking a cigarette? if you believe all the statements made by the manufacturers, we would all be vaping all day without the need to top off the carts. all a load of advertising suck you in waffle IMO!
i get so frustrated with all the fiddling around, i truly believe it would just be easier to go back to rolling my own analogs and be done with it. if not for the fact that i realise this would be a certain suicide mission, i think i'd choose that path. grrr!
any suggestions??

I had the same trouble, I got my carts working a little better using a straw mod/plug type thing with a vent(coffee stirrer on the side). I ended up trying cartos and they last really well used one for a full day, little less vapor and flavor to me though. I like the ease of use tho. Now just to figure out how to put a flat tip on em.

Defiantly try Cartomizers. You can get adapters for only a couple of bucks for most other e-cigs so you don't have to lay out for a new kit. The hit is not as big but its VERY consistent. Just a few pointers. Don't wait until the vape drops off to change cartos because it won't. Change when you are no longer getting really strong flavor. If you keep going you'll get another 20 or 30 hits off it no problems but you run the risk of burning the carto. That asumes you plan on refilling if you aren't just keep going to the end and throw away. Flavor and longevity are the two biggest pluses for cartos. Same hit from start to finish and they do last a VERY long time. No fiddling, no good vape bad vape sea saw. No juice in the mouth just vape.

At first I thought that the fact that they are a bit milder than a 510 might be a problem but then I noticed something strange. I was actually putting my e-cig down. I was actually getting to the point where I didn't want to be sucking on it 24/7 forever chasing a satisfying hit. I would pick it up, take a couple of puffs, smile because every one of them was exactly how I was expecting them to be and then I'd put it down....

If you haven't guessed I love my cartos!!

If you were a heavy smoker, then you may want to look at the DSE601 pipe. It has the largest cartridge I have seen so far and lots of vapor. It does take some tweaking and practice to master. Just something else for you to look at. Enjoy.

The DSE601 is a fine bit of gear but still prone to cart filler type problems. If you can flood a carto your better than I am. It's just impossible. Condom fill (5 sec) put the cap back on the bottle (2 sec) screw carto on (2 sec) no muss no fuss no adjusting no flooding no priming.... nothing but vape and you have spent less time than it takes to get the filler in your cart to suck up 5 drops of liquid!!

But I am a bit of a biased one eyed convert!!

If you still have your 601, you may want to check some of the latest info. I fill the atomizer section with blue foam and top off with 20-30 drops. A cart of foam is close to 2ml. I don't want to hijack this thread so give a search of the pipe and I think you might be surprised.

PS: I still use a KR8 on the go sometimes and a JS w/801 for stealth.;)

hi guys,

thanks so much for all your helpful replies. i've had a rather interesting development since i made the first post......
this afternoon i received my 2nd 510 kit from a different supplier than my original kit. it came with 5 pre filled carts. i have amazingly been sucking away on that one cart for the last hour and a half and it's still going strong! what's more..... i am still on the same battery. what is going on? my other 510 batteries would be dead inside 45 minutes. i am a heavy vaper and man, it's so nice to sit and vape and not have to worry about topping off my carts every 10 minutes. i have no idea why things are so different with this kit... none at all. but i won't complain. fingers crossed this type of performance keeps up! my tornado should arrive any day now, so hopefully things can only improve from here. yay!

stock polyfil will wick less efficiently the more you refil unless you wash/clean it...and I've found that some of the mods there's a fine line to walk..primarily the blue foam..for me the tighter it's packed in the cart the worse it wicks..so the "plug" and "slug" weren't worth a thing to me but just replacing the pollyfil with a piece of blue foam cut the same size and shape and just put in the cart like it was normal stock polyfil..worked wonderfully
