So I just built my first rba. Using SS wick with 5 wraps and no hot spots. Put it on my Vamo and reading 1.5 ohms. Running at 11w on my Vamo but even hitting it very hard I am not getting much vapor at all. Any thoughts what I need to change?

From what I hear it does take a little bit to break them in.. not sure if the issue your having is related

Well it took me 3 tries to get it to even register on the meter. I tried 3 wraps and nothing. Then again with 4 wraps and nothing. So i wrapped 5 wraps and got it to register 1.5 ohms but not getting much vapor at all.
Dumb first question, is the air hole aligned with the wick?
Also, does it dry burn evenly?

Yes that's why I have no hotspots. And yes the hole is right in front of the wick and i drilled the hole out just a tiny bit.
Make sure the wick is not too tight.
We had an issue where either the center post or the atty base would rotate during tightening and it would kill vapor production.

You may wish to up the VG. I use a 50/50 and the vapor plume is unreal on my AGA T2s.
ETA: #500 SS mesh, 6/5 wrap, 30g Kanthal, which measures 1.9 ohms running 4.5 volts on a provari.

Yeah I am going to try some 50/50 next but everything i bought so far is 80/20 but they all work fine in all my other tanks. Something is wrong with this one I think.
I have used 80/20. It yielded less vapor and more throat hit. After experimenting with different combos, I have finally settled upon a 50/50.

Have you noticed that you are using much more e juice to vape, now, using the AGA? I'm going through batteries much faster, as well.

Note I'm running 1Ω on a mechanical in the video so slightly more amps than the vamo can handle, but you don't need it that high for good performance.
