Id say that lower coil should be pulled out closer to the edge, thatd help flavor and vapor production some, more than likely. Additionally your coil might just legitimtely need replacing. Also maybe try replacing your cotton? Sometimes gunk can severely affect performance. With wick sometimes less is more. I put in enough to be able to pull through the coil somewhat freely. If you can tug on one end of the wick and your coil moves imho you have too much wick.

i was concerned i had too little in it right now, so i should put less in? because i always put in enough so it would be pretty tight in the coil

That should give you better vapor production.

theyr as tight as i would be comfortable tightening them dont want to strip the screw holes out

Something I've been told was to line up the coil with the three bottom air holes, leaving the rest off center and to the left. The Mutation creates a cyclone effect because of the hole positioning. Supposedly, that creates more vapor.

Depending on the build 24, 26, or 28 g kanthal. That zipper builds using twisted 28g

I use 26 gauge Kanthal.

Coilin, however, seems to be much more crafty and experienced than I am. Thats a very impressive looking build.

that it is, definatly have to look up how to make my own coils on youtube...think the guy at the shop is trying to get me to buy a tank so he jacks up my coil on purpose lol

There are many tutorials about how to make some of the nicest looking and best performing coils on youtube. There are also jigs and tools you can get to make the process easier. Though, take note of what your batteries can handle.

Definitely know what your battery can handle...that might be the most important thing. Zipper coils and crown coils look impressive but toss a crappy ICR battery on there that can only pump 15 or 20 amps continuous and that 0.19Ω can turn that mech into a pipe bomb.

Nice build. I applaud those who can make a vertical coil work well for em. I can never seem to get my vertical coils to wick as well as my horizontals but your wick looks plenty saturated. I just really like zippers because the channels in the center of each wrap funnel flavor effectively taking advantage of the horizontal build.

thank you! ugh i go through so much juice trying to get the wicking right. i prefer horizontal but the tobh seems built for vertical. leaves more juice on the wicks when it starts to burn than i like but im super ocd about that.
