Just got my MVP3 Pro in the mail today, and I'm not getting a proper ohms reading on the two different tanks I've tried on it so far. For example, using a 1.2 coil it shows 1.17-1.19 and using a .5 coil it shows .45-.46... Was just wondering if this is common/normal?

Yup, completely normal and it is always better to ask, everyone is so nice here, never feel like you can't ask hunny

If you ever decide to start rebuilding coils, youll see this all the time.. You can plug numbers into Steam Engine all day and wrap what SHOULD be for example a 1.0 ohm coil.. Doesnt mean its always going to come out that way. Youll often see 0.9 or 1.1. Its normal, alot of the times its the legs that can make that slight bit of difference as they are always cut different each time, depending on how and where you position the coil in the end. The number of wraps doesnt mean anything, its the total length of the wire used that determines the resistance, so you could have a coil with a fraction of a millimeter longer or shorter on the legs and that will add/subtract a slight bit of resistance.

And like was already said, it wasnt a 'duh' moment at all.. Better safe than sorry right?

My nautilus coil started at 1.8ohms a week ago and is now sitting at 2.1ohms. Stock coils, no matter the tank, will fluctuate a bit. Sometimes a 1.8 will start at over 2 and work it's way down. Does this on my mvp2 and both my isticks. You'll get used to it :)

Ive seen my tanks and drippers fluctuate before too due to various factors, but Id probably start looking at the tanks connection if your getting that big of a jump in resistance. Ive seen for example a 1.5 go up to 1.6 and back down due to heat overtime but if one of mine jumped up .3 ohms Id stop and look at the atty. I change my coils maybe once a month nowadays so I know the constant heating and chain vaping doesnt change them that much. In terms of wraps thats like adding an extra 2 wraps worth of wire to your coil which doesnt seem normal at all.. Ive had an RDA that jumped all the way from 1.0 to 6 something, and it turned out it was the positive post inside coming loose from the insulator (which was probably my fault but a quick disassemble and reassemble put things back in order).
