Hey there!

I've been vaping for a few months and I've decided I'm just not happy with the flavor I'm getting for certain liquids using my current setup, and I believe batteries with higher voltage (and possibly LR attys?) may be the solution I'm looking for...though, of course, i would love suggestions from the more experienced vapers among us, hence why I'm posting here!:)

Currently, I'm using Joyetech CCs with Ego C 1000 batteries. I haven't had a single prob with the CCs, I'm just not getting the nuances of the flavors like i should be getting. Therefore, I've been advised to go for batteries with at least 5v, higher if possible. I've also been told to switch to LR atty heads, but i don't know if doing higher voltage batteries AND LR would be too much at once.

So, higher end, eVic...though clock and puff count would be cool, don't know if I need...and with 510 threading, i could still use the CCs I have.

I know there have to be a multitude of 5v + batteries out there, but I've stuck with Joyetech thus far, for better or worse, so I just don't know what they are--so I desperately need suggestions!

As for atomizers, I'm not married to CCs, so open to suggestions on, well, everything! I'm also needing to know best batteries for eVic as well as chargers. Ultimately, I'd like to get two new units, so are there any that charge four batteries simultaneously?

Im hoping to do this ASAP, so any guidance would be a godsend!:toast:

Thanks so much for your help!:)

I am new to vaping too. After doing a bunch of reading I have settled on the itaste VV3 (variable voltage/watt) and use a protank 3 with it. Have to say I am really happy. I set it to 8 watts for most of my juice and then I don't worry about it. Low maintenance and it feels really good in your hand. The setup is small, but has a really nice weight to it. I initially tried the plastic tanks with ego batteries... cheap, cheap from chinabuye.com but I worry about inhaling heat and plastic -long term effects. For a couple more bucks, I am playing it safe and going with glass only tanks.

Hello and welcome,
Depends where you want to go from here. You want to start rebuilding heads and coils? I usually recommend evods to get use to rebuilding coils. Get much more flavor than stock heads. Don't have an evic but started with a vamo v5. Easy to play with the vv/vw settings. I use a nitecore I4 charger and sony vtc5 batteries. Or maybe a kayfun or taifun rba are both great for flavor but you need to be able to make coils for them. Then better for flavor is dripping. Plenty of cheap drippers to start out with. I'm sure you'll get plenty of help here.

Thanks for the input! Unfortunately, I'm recovering from a Traumatic Brain Injury, which sent me into a coma and I woke up a vegetable, except thank god for my brain, but couldn't move, talk, walk. No fun! I have come a long way, but my fine motor skills are just not at the level yet where I could build my own pieces, boo!:( therefore, I think I am relegated too pre-made stuff for now. I need things with a nice size/weight as well. How does this change your recommendations?

Neglected to add, I have several Kanger Pro Tank Mini IIs, but wasn't terribly impressed.:(

Sspike, love your doggie pic! I have 2 pug-children myself!

I believe your joyetech CC's will fit on an Evic. You may have to remove the top beauty ring if the CC's are too wide though.

As for a charger, I have an Intellichager I4: http://101vape.com/batteries-chargers/142-nitecore-intellicharger-i4.html Works great and is a popular and solid charger.

Batteries, first off make sure you get IMR (LI-MN) batteries. AW IMR, Sony, MNKE, Panasonic make some of the best batteries. You could get eFests or EH IMR's, they are middle of the road less expensive IMR's that would work fine in an EVIC. Just stay away from any battery with "fire" in it's name like Trustfire.

Now in my experience you will only get awesome flavor from a rebuildable, whether it's something like a Kayfun or a rebuilt Kanger coil. I do see alot of people posting how they love the flavor from an Aspire Nautilus tank though.

Well then I will double my suggestion of an Aspire Nautilus tank or a Kanger Aerotank Mega to fit on an Evic.

Hi Jberryj!

Hey there!

Ultimately, I'd like to get two new units, so are there any that charge four batteries simultaneously?

I have an Efest LUC 2-bay charger that's served me nicely for the last 8-9 months, they have a 4-bay charger that I've never used, but have thought about getting to keep in the house, and the 2-bay at work.

As to tanks, in my opinion, I think the top of the heap when it comes to tanks are the Kanger Aerotank and the Aspire Nautilus. I give a slight edge to the Nautilus, but again, that's just me.

Sspike, love your doggie pic! I have 2 pug-children myself!

Pugs? I love Pugs. I had three of them at one time, now I only have one, a Pitbull, and a cat, lol.

Doggies just rock...I don't have kids, so they're my babies!:)

Thank you ALL for all the wonderful suggestions! I'm researching each and every one right now...by the way, I'm not dead set on the evic, though I would definitely like something with the 510 threading so I'd have options for the top..though all the ideas so far have been fabulous!:) so if any of you have any others, I will continue researching!:)

While doing your research, do not discount the "Provari" from Provape. The best vv device on the market.(excellent durability that will last a lifetime with fantatic customer support and made in the US of A!)

I have other mods myself but, when I leave the house, I reach for my Provari's.

Don't be afraid to PM if you need anything.
Come on 1 more post to get 5!

Haha, I wasn't even thinking about that! You mean I get to post with the big people now?? I felt like I was relegated to the kids table on Thanksgiving!:p

Don't forget about this thread though, because i still need high voltage battery suggestions! Unless everyone agrees with the eVic idea? I think it's highest is like 5.2v...is that right? Lol and would that be enough of a change from the ego Cs to notice a big change? The evic extreme says 6v, but I really just don't see the need for a photo on my ecig...of course, I could post a pic of my pugs...:p hehe

If the battery or batteries you are now using is putting out 3.7 +/- volts then your batteries aren't your problem. Going to a high voltage won't give you more flavor. You need better tanks, clearomizers.

What is good? Aspire Nautilus, Kanger Aerotank mega or mini and one of the Kayfun lite + models, either real or one of the clones.

Oh I see must be past 5

No fair, you edited it after I read it!! Lol. Fine...here's the 6th post, for posterity's sake. And i haven't heard of the Provari, but you can bet I will def check it out!!

FYI, the best prices I've seen for the evic (though they don't have the supreme version, and pretty much all Joyetech, is at Litecigusa .com. Anyone have suggestions for the Vamo v5, the charger you use Sspike and the other things mentioned that they don't have there, by chance?

You guys are just AWESOME, thanks sooooo much for the ideas!

If I could get some help/links with good pricing for the Aspire Nautilus and replacement heads, that would help SO much!

**oh...and what resistance level of heads should I get? I forgot to ask, duh!

As for batteries, the Vamo5 looks good, so pricing links for that and batteries would be awesome! The Provari looks cool, but $$$, esp since I need at least 2 attys/batteries so I'll have 2 new full rigs for now. Any other ideas that are similar and good $ deals are good, until final decision is made and order placed, which will hopefully be by tomorrow night so order can ship Tuesday and get here soon!!

Also, any info on 'sweet spots', settings on these that have worked for you guys would be great!!

And as always, please feel free to PM me anything you don't feel like posting:)

Thank you so very much for your help on my first foray into the ECF forums!!:)

How can I comment without sounding biased/cynical/disappointed.

Please don't buy an Evic. Anything else is going to prove better value.

(I know, I know.... there'll be hundreds of people now saying theirs is a year old and hasn't missed a beat).

Let me just say this; on my "home" forum.... there is only 1 remaining. ALL of them are dead, sold on, or in the bin. People can't even sell them for $30 in the classifieds...
