Sorta related.. I use smoktek dual coils in the 2 and 2.5 ohm types. I find during use they dip as low as 1.3 ohms, at which point I get an e2 (i think, some low number anyway) and have to turn voltage down to make it go away and get the last bit outta the carto. It consistently reads low even after sitting overnight so it isn't heat related so much as age/buildup. Since yours are still measuring at 3 I agree it isn't likely the same issue.

But, if the cartos are from a wonky batch, its anyones guess.

Im not sure when you ordered those boges but lately imo the quality on them hasnt been as top notch as they used to be. Myself and some other people have been getting some funky batches lately, so much so that i switched to resurrectors untill they get their stuff together.

I know all about BogeGate, but this isn't a cartomizer problem. If the ProVari's protection is shutting off a wonky carto every 2 hits on one battery, then it would shut it off on a freshly charged battery. The protection would work the same way no matter if the battery was fully charged or 2/3 charged. I only had one old pack of Boge cartos that tasted off, all the new batches I've gotten have been the same as the old Boges. If the resistance of the carto was fluctuating so bad that the provari protection cause the E8 error then why would simply swapping the battery fix the problem? No, I think the problem was with the booster circuit, and maybe the recalibration fixed that. I'm telling you guys, I'm not a noob vaper that put one bad carto on the provari for two seconds with stacked double "A" batteries and then cried foul. This ain't my first rodeo and the problem isn't user error or bad cartos.

I've never really experienced a carto that didn't work, but is it possible it wasn't the resistance of the carto dropping, but some other issue with it? Have you tried a carto from another batch?

I tried cartos from two batches, neither of which were the "wonky" boges. The resistance was staying consistent (according to provari), but aside from that, the provari would start working again when a fully charged battery was put in. Then the cycle started over. If it was the carto that was going bad then it shouldn't matter the charge of the battery, it would throw an error code regardless.

Update: I got the ProVari back today, I've been vaping it for several hours and no E8 error! The calibration must have fixed it! I was able to vape it until the battery was dead, something I never could do before. ProVape came through for me, I want to thank the two people that helped me but not sure if I'm supposed to say their names? This thing rocks now, I'm so happy it's working. I just want to reassure anyone thinking about buying a ProVari, if you're one of the very few people that have a problem with it...ProVape will definitely take care of you.

You can say our names :)

Cecilia and David were the ones that helped me out, I have a sneaky feeling NarcoSleepyGirl is Cecilia! I'm sure I was being a pretty big goober to them and they never got rude. They would e-mail me back in minutes. Very very professional. My provari is still going strong, now I'm thinking about getting a blue mini...or maybe a black...

It's nice to see someone go from upset to pleased. I very well know the upset side of being a customer, and it's good to know that ProVape gets things fixed when faced with the inevitable dissatisfied customer.

100% initial customer satisfaction does not happen anywhere on the planet, ever. What sets companies apart is what the suppliers do for the dissatisfied customers.

Just want to share a similar experience. I own a volcano lava tube with their 7ml tube tank with 3 ohm carto. Flawless. I buy a provari and use that tank setup with it. Flawless. I order a cartomator tank which is great and get a 3 ohm boge with it to see what the hype was about. Great flavor. I crank it up and I get errors. I incrementally tune it down getting a different error each time. Check resistance with provari it reads 1.6. I figure I got sent the wrong carto. Vape it on a low setting for a while then check resistance and it was 3. I crank it up a bit and it fluctuates between 2 and 3.5 as it heats. After a while it fluctuates from 1.6 to 6 ohms before my eyes bak and forth on display. I put a volcano cart which I believe is a smoke tech dct flanged and no issues since. I'm convinced it is the boge cartos which I hesitate to buy again even though the flavor and vapor was way better. Reading your post convinces me it was my carto and even your multiple cartos. I'm confident if you try a different carto you'd have no issues through all voltages
