I'm using an SD and AR. The price-point considerations of adaptability, versatility and ongoing maintainance such as replacement costs of batteries, atomizers, refilling carts etc., well the SD and AR have me covered.

Just looked at the video by titanflyer so here I am. Same reasons as titan, how to get my wife vaping. All that's entailed for me to vape is not a problem but the better half won't deal with it.

While I certainly appreciate the enthusiasm generated when ya find a product that works for ya, what I'm after here is the straight dope on the Vapor King. I know I do not know all there is to know regarding PV's, but at the same time I think I'm past the newbie stage.

$17.50 a pop for batteries - how long do the batteries last before they need replacement?

$12.50 for 5 cartomizers - $2.50 a whack is really hard to fathom for someone that is used to stuffing and refilling carts for pennies, and getting good performance for an average of 3 weeks from atomizers that only run $5 each. Kanger sez 250 puffs, uh-huh. What have VK users really been experiencing with new cartomizers as well as refilled ones?

Again, I'm looking for a device to get my wife going with. As I review the wording in the questions I've posed let me emphasize that my intent here is not to bash the VK. I'm simply after real input.

Thanks so much folks.

ILL make this simple and sweet. one cartomizer will last you at least 15 cigarettes worth. Second its the easiest to use ecig out there...pop on cartomizer and go. No cleaning...no need for refilling if you want. brand new attie every time you pop on a cartomizer.
This is a good ecig while driving, at work or on the go. The taste comes through nicely. And its good for people who have no patients for refilling carts, cleaning atties, or constantly dripping. I hope this helps....

Thanks grimmer. All in all it does appear to be a simple system. Any of the price points that are troubling me would probably even out with the convenience aspect factored in.

Have you or anyone else had one long enough to have an idea as to how long the batts will go before needing replacement?

I would say like any other ecig battery 2-3 months or longer. But smilin offers a 45 day warranty on batteries. which is damn good if you think about it for a regular ecig. Oh dont forget to look at the value pack starter kits for 44 bucks...its at the bottom of the VK kits screen plus 20 percent off on top of that using the discount code.

Just as an extra note here, I am fairly new to the VK but not to e-cigs. One of the main selling points for me was definitely the ease of use (the incredible flavor was a real bonus). Having come from stuffing carts with every new filler/mod/teabag etc to try and get a good refill out of a cart, dripping which I found a real pain (and useless when driving) and all the fuss and muss involved ... well, the VK is a piece of cake with icing on top. Yes, the cartomizers are more expensive but if you refill each of them even just twice that brings them down to a very realistic cost. And the best part (for me) is how easy it is to refill them! There is a good sticky video showing how.
My experience is limited so far but am beginning to see that I will go through about a cart and a half a day. I was a pack a day (or a little more depending on the day) smoker. Hope this helps. No help on longevity of batteries as I am new to the King but sure someone else here will help out on that.

I was pricing out the Ultimate package actually. Include the 20% deal and I have her set for sure.

Absolutely helps Fisher! Like I said, I'm after real input and that's what you 2 are providing. Appreciate it to no end.

Now If I could just figure out a flavor to start her on... That could be tricky seeing as how I'm the kind of guy that gives kitchen appliances as presents 8-o, that waffle maker didn't go over well at all!

I would just like to add, I care enough to customize your order as well, you may want to try more flavors, and strengths so you have an easier time getting it perfect for your better half. The way I do my warrantee is, you have a problem, I fix it with a new replacement. If you do not abuse my warrantee, and something happens well over 45 days after purchase, I believe in treating my customers, the way I WISH, I was treated by others:D

Thanks

try getting batteries that suit your wifes favorite colors and then I would think about your wifes favorite deserts and fruits. mint is always a good one to start on....RY4....banana (that taste like those banana creme Popsicles). just a note to help you out.

Hey Steve. Just now sent an e-mail to ya but seeing as your here I'll ...

Was wondering just that, customizing. Would be helpful if we could do something like a sampler pack of cartomizers. Would that be possible?

Also, I've seen reference to empty cartomizers for the VK. That would really be ideal for the exploration phase. I didn't see any on your site, do you carry them?

Thanks, and oh one more thing Steve. When ya reply could I get some of that famous colored text? :D

I can say, with limited experience ( had my king about 2 weeks) that the atomizers are working great after my 4th refill with the carts form my original order. Still getting great vapor and flavor and all that. I washed them once so far with the rinse, vodka soak, rinse method. The only issue I have so far is that the top white plastic part you should pop off to refill can get mangled. Need to be gentle with it. Wondering if there can be replaced with a rubber one? I don't know if that alleviates you concerns over the cost of the carts themselves. As for flavors, to each his/her own. However I have tried many of the flavors and my Favorite is Peach =).

I have had my 2 VK batteries since April and they are still going strong. Not much of a drop off in use time either. The 510 batteries I have show a marked drop off after 3 or 4 weeks of use. I haven't ordered from Steve since though, cause I get charged a 10% IL state tax. :(

Steve used to have 60 empty cartomizers for $100?...i forget its been a couple weeks. I very nearly bought a bundle, and i too noticed they vanished... Perhaps thats some of the 30k carts customs is sitting on to see if they'll hatch? I'd like to know the answer to that one as well, empty carts are nice to have around.

That's more like it Steve. Color!!
Pretty much got it nailed down. I'm seeing referance to 2 battery sizes, Large and Small. What's the difference and what size comes with the Ultimate Ultimatum set.

thanks, she's telling me it's time to go and I always do what she sez...

There you have it....batteries work pretty good. I gave a 3 month mark because usually after that I'm going for a new ones. Because by then there all scratched up well at least for me. I like to twirl them in between my fingers like a pen and sometimes they fall on the table and role around. But I'm really taking care of my new VK batteries this time. Especially now I have a case that fits them perfectly. I have to keep my blue VK looking sharp. Its favorite color and it's the first ecig I owned that wasn't black or white. Smilin's working hard to keep everyone happy. He will do his best that is for sure.

If you are a pack a day smoker, these batteries should last over a year. I have NEVER had better batteries, than what I have. My warrantee is the best as well.

All I can say, try the rest, and then get the best:D

This thuely is the absolute best analog substitute anywhere. I own em all.....:pI play with the big guns, but use the VK's.....I buy em all, cause if, when, I find a better one, it will be crowned Da King, and this will be Da queen, or prince:hubba:
