I smoked about 15-20 Doral Light 100's daily (since vaping I'm down to just a couple). I chose the 8mg VG juice because I want to completely wein myself off of nicotine. I also am using manual batteries and today I ordered an automatic. I don't know if I'm not doing something right, but I don't seem to be getting much vapor and sometimes I would like a little throat hit. Any suggestions?

VG does not give a lot of throat hit. Try mixing some PG (if it doesn't cause you irritation) in with your VG to improve this. Some also say the lower nic levels reduce throat hit. I vape 11 or 12 mg PG though, and have never had issues with lack of TH.
What device are you using?
Throat hit is generally enhanced with liquids with higher nicotine concentration or by increasing the warmth of the vapor (either using a manual battery or increasing the voltage at which you vape). To some degree, certain flavors, like menthol, seem to provide a better feeling of throat hit.
It may be that the throat hit experience you seek is not easily achievable with low nicotine juices or at the typical 3.7 volts you battery provides.

make sure your carts are working good.packed properly.look under cart mods on the site.
8mg vg carts arent going to have very strong TH.The vk kr8 is known for TH but those carts arent.If you want more TH you should try PG 11-18.
