Hi all. I've been vaping for about a year. I bought a new joye 510 to replace my first e cig. It was great in the first week I got it and then the vapor production started to minimize greatly. I've also seem to flood the atty without even really dripping much into the cart. I've clean the atty many times (I've done the blow into a paper towel then flushing it with hot water method and dry burned it). Then when I go to put in a refilled cart it then very minimal vapor production. I don't know what I'm doing wrong and it's just getting really irritating.

I use stock battery and also use 100% VG.

Any advice for a fellow vaper will be greatly appreciated :)

Do you have a spare atty to try? Possibly the 100% VG is contributing to the problem. VG is thicker than PG and can gum up and ruin an atty fairly quickly at 100%.

So, first, try a different atty. Second, order yourself some juice that is no more than 50% VG. (Unless you are PG intolerant).

Always keep spare attys on hand. Their life span is very unpredictable. They can last a week, or a month, or two months and beyond.

@Bozzlite: I have two other attys. Tried them also and they also feel the same so I'm leaning towards that the VG could be the culprit. Reason why I have 100% VG cause I recently found out I get an allergic reaction to PG (scratching, night sweats)

@John: That is very true. One of the new attys I got doesn't warm up anymore. Figured it was dead when I heard no sizzling which resulted to an angry girlfriend haha.

@kgeiger002: haven't tried that yet. I thought about it but have no idea how to properly do it without ruining the atty.

No no - don't pull out the wick and bridge if you are using carts. That is something some people who only drip do.

When you say you refilled the cart - did you wash it possibly and not dry it totally? A wet cart will work real crappy. And carts start to suck pretty soon anyway. You can try blowing out your atty. You can try cleaning your atty (have a spare first). You can try replacing the cart stuffing with precut blue foam for 510 from strictlyejuice.com. And make absolutely sure there is no liquid in either side of the battery connection flat parts or threads.

Or do what most people do and buy good cartos and use them instead of the atty+carts. I recommend Boge cartomizers and you need the standard resistance ones (not the ones marked LR low resistance or HV high voltage).

@dormouse: I was using cartridge with the blue foam mod before. I blew out the excess liquid, washed and let the atty dry overnight. I also made sure the ends were dry also. Then I watched a couple of videos on how to remove the wick and bridge and tried it on an old atty. Now I'm considering to just drip from now on :)

@kgeiger: It worked great. My old atty feels like it's been resurrected.

Well you can't drip while driving or at least you should not. So try some cartomizers too.

That is very true. Dripping is only for when I'm at my pc. I haven't tried cartomizers yet but I've heard good things. Planning to purchase some next week.

What no one drips while they're going 70 miles on the interstate. It's really fun when you have a semi right next to you ready to squash all the life out of you.

Seriously - I think every responsible vapor knows dripping and driving is not a good idea.

I actually have a question about direct dripping. Is the atty supposed to be dry out very quickly and supposed to harsh on your throat. I've done the recommended 3 drops.

When dripping in my JOYE eGo, On a fresh atty, i put about 5 drops in and let it settle, then i vape a little bit, and drop 2 drops, vape and 2 drops till i come close to flooding it, THEN when vape gets harsh i put 3 drops in to refill.
