Not new to vaping but new to cartos.

What do I do to get this darn carto working right? POint me to a step by step post if neccessary. If not, I need an intro. What the heck is going on? I thought these things were supposed to last a while. I'm dripping like I'm using my 306. Still a darn newbie when it comes to these things. I know the info is out there but I also know you guys can help me cut to the chase. Thanks everyone in advance.

if its an empty carto you need to pop the mouth piece off and drip about 20-25 drops in untill its full, youll know when its full by the slurry look it has to it or if you overfill just lit it sit a second maybe shake it and take a paper towel to wipe up the excess from the inside. then just pop the cap back on let it sit for 15 minutes atleast preferabbly overnight then screw it on and start vaping. i also blow threw the battery side and the mouth peace before i let it dry to make sure theres no liquid in the center post
if it always tastes dry you could have a bad carto, try using a different one

Thanks for the quick reply. The thing just seems to gurgle and either give off very little vapor or it tastes like filler. I think I'm going to have to let it sit. I got a little over zealous with the filling. I really wanted it to work. My friend gave me a new one that's low res and she filled it initially, but mine just doesn't get the same results hers had. Hers hit and had soo much flavor. I might just have to get over the learning curve a little slower than most people, but I'm not going to give up on cartos. It took me a while to learn to solder and now I'm pretty darn good at it now. Thanks again man. You guys are always there for us silly newbies.

Maybe i'm still in the break-in mode too. Could just be the crap shipping liquid. Not sure what brand it is, but I love the idea of cartos. However, I do love my LR 306. Much love to Cisco.

This is a stuffing type carto of 1ml size?

You have to let them sit and not use juice that is too thick to spread through the stuffing

I only buy soft cap cartos and I hate SLBs with a passion (the ones with the fat wad of stuffing and the inner seal - they just suck so bad for me). I buy Boge soft-caps (standard resistance only because I am using slim batteries)

I carefully pop the soft cap out with an unbent paperclip without catching any of the stuffing or wires. I shake my juice and uncap it. I hold a bit of tissue on the threaded end hole and angle the carto. I drip at least 18 drops into a 1ml carto, more if it wants it. Then I do clean up - I make sure the threaded end is clean and dry. I tilt the open end down into a tissue and puff into the threaded end to clear the central air channel (because Boges has center air channel unlike fat stuffing SLoB cartos). I want to see light through that air channel. Then I sop up any juice pooled above the stuffing, cap the carto.

If I was just topping off then it is ready to vape. If it was a fresh fill of a dry blank I lay it down. I use 70pg/30vg juices and for me 15-20 minutes of laying the carto on different sides is enough to get every bit of stuffing wet enough so I don't singe the carto when I start vaping it. If your juice is thicker than you may need to wait longer. If your juice is extremely thick it may get hung up in tight carto stuffing and never get it all properly damp so thin your juice first.

Then whenever the vapor seems a bit light or a bit dry or the carto is getting too hot, I add a bit of eliqud (first removing it from the battery, holding a bit of tissue on the end if I am adding a good amount). On my main flavor cartos I use a plastic or delrin drip tip as a mouthpiece so that is easy to pull to add juice and also cool on the lips.

If you're getting a gurgling...blow it into a towel. You should be able to look straight through the center and see clear through it.

You need to give Ikenvape.com's 360's a try...they blow cisco out of the water.

gurguling and no vapor sounds like you over filled it to me, only done it once but i have a carto like that. try blowing from the mouthpiece holding the battery part up to a papar towel to get exes out and let it sit for a few and try it again

Gonna try all you guy's tricks. To hairball, I'm hearing nothing but good things about ikenvape. Any suggestions for a newbie? I actually killed a Cisco 306 after less than two months,but it was good up until then. I love low res vaping with my lmr 14500's.(hope I said that right.) in any case, thanks again everyone. I always blow into the threaded end with the cap off and open end tilted down into a tissue. You don't want to blow more juice down to the battery end where it could leak, especially if you are using auto batteries.
