The postal union in China started a crackdown on prohibited products going through their sort centers around 09/10, batteries being included in their prohibited items. They are xraying a lot more packages and any packages containing batteries will be returned to the sender. You can still get batteries out of China but would have to go through DHL or another private shipping company.

All part of new regulations for air freight. Guess folks don't like the plane they are riding on blowing up.

Usually new regs mean new opportunities tho'. So there is light at the end of the tunnel. Batteries are on the "Slow Boat" from China as we speak, and new business opportunities exist locally.
    Here is an example:

Notice you are from Denmark..but maybe find some made in USA?

I would love to... But shipping from usa to denmark costs a fortune.. The reason i only shopped at fasttech was their free postage and they didnt put a pricetag in the package unless i instructed them to do so... Wich i did to evade the sick postal fees

If they put pricetags in the packages showing more than 15$ i gotta pay an extra 30$+25%

You can still try other EU companies, the batteries will travel by road and not air which is the cause of the current problems.

I dont get how batteries can be a problem... I mean seriously in my relatively short lifetime ive transported a load of batteries and i never once died in a horrible explosion

It becomes a problem when a bunch of lithium batteries are being shipped and they werent packed properly to begin with. They would short and when one goes any others close by will go too.

Yes, and it would be a shame for a pilot and crew to lose their lives in the air due to batts that were carelessly packaged.

Lithium battery related fire incidents have occurred 17 times on passenger flights since 2004, and have been implicated in at least one major crash of a UPS plane. I imagine it is rather difficult to impossible to fight a fire in the belly of a plane when it is at 20K+ feet and I would not want to be piloting an airplane that caught on fire many hours from a landing strip.

Given that battery cases cost $1.00, I simply do not understand why, when ordering batteries, everyone wouldn't order battery cases to go with them.

There have been a number of reports of vapers having their pants pocket or purse start to "smolder" because they threw lithium batteries in, loose, with keys or coins, which completed the positive circuit. I know it is 2nd nature to some of us, but I am sure there are many newbies who still do not know these things, so it can't be said enough. :)
