LOL. Seriously, the benefits of vaping over analogs far outweigh the troubles.

My hair feels like straw now, totally. I guess I used to have a tar coating on it or something that made it feel smooth, like the TV commercials. But now it feels horrible and I have to wash it more often and even with heavy duty conditioner it still feels terrible.
I just noticed this in the past month since I completely quit analogs. I can't be 100% sure it's the lack of tar and if it's not, it's a terrible coincidence.

Anyone else having this trouble?

It could be a number of external factors affecting your hair.
Last week it rained a good deal down here in Texas, so the humidity levels shot up ridiculously and it destroyed my hair for a good 5 days.
Changing shampoo and conditioner could be a factor.

As for cigarette smoke affecting the smoothness of someone's hair, I've never really heard of anything like that.

i Vape at my desk and ALWAYS have a 20 oz of Lipton Green Tea that i am sipping on....

Good to know that vaping dehydrates you, I didn't think it affected you that way.

On a side note, I've never actually tried lipton tea. I've always been an Arizona tea fan since they had the black and white tea that was made without high fructose corn syrup. It was godly, but I think they stopped making it.

You could maybe try posting this question in the health forum. They might be familiar with such a thing. I know that the PG is a humectant, meaning it dries things out, so maybe the vapor around you is having some effect.

Ahhhhhh! I've noticed since vaping that my mouth is much drier in the morning. Since then, I've had to use mouthwash before bed just to make sure my mouth was buring and creating extra saliva! hahahaha

It could be the PG. The sebaceous glands on your scalp that normally coat your hair with a oil are probably dryer from the PG in your juice. Try switching to VG and drink lots of water. Also give your self some good scalp massages to increase blood flow or stand on your head once a day. Sounds silly but it works.

I had to switch to VG due to a skin dryness and it solved the problem.

There are a lot of factors that may be contributing to dry hair - weather, dyed hair, type of hair - coarse, fine, thick, wavy, straight - ethnicity (whether your Asian, African, Hispanic, Caucasian et all), permed or not.

I've not experienced the drying out of the hair. However, I've noticed that my hair is growing super fast as are my nails. I vape DIY VG juices and have increased my H2O.

There's a product that I use on the ends of my hair (growing out my natural color, so the ends of my hair are dyed and dry)

Fanstasia ic Hair Polisher for color treated and chemically damaged hair - extra strength.

Comes in a blue bottle and can be found in a beauty supply store. This stuff is fantastic!

Hope that helps some.:D

Tea contains tannins which leech iron from your system. It's also a diuretic. So when you are ...... so much, you are also flushing out iron. Both iron deficiency and dehydration = rotten dry hair.

I drink the crystal light stuff, about a half packet per 24 ounces to give water some kind of flavor.

I can say I drink 3x more fluids than I ever have, and since I have been vaping, my hair is tons softer, and more....sparkly. :)

I recently started using coconut oil and my hair feels soooooooooo soft. Before I hop in the shower, I put a bunch of it in my hair. While I am drinking my coffee, I let it sit on my head and hair. On working days I leave it in for about 30 minutes. On the weekends I leave it in longer (1-3 hours). You will probably have to shampoo twice to avoid having an oily hair look.

Here is a link to an article that gave me the idea: Coconut Oil for Hair. I tried to do as the article suggested, putting a small amount on the tips of your hair but my hair just looked oily so I didn't do that again. I found coconut oil by the cooking oil in the grocery store for $5 for a quart. I figured it was a cheap experiment that worked out well :)
