What is the resistance of your coil? 1.2
What type/gauge wire are you using? 28Ga Kanthal from VapeSupply
Does your coil heat up from the inside out without hot spots/legs? it seems to be good
What kind of cotton/other wick are you using? Maxim Hygiene Organic cotton balls
How is the airflow? the air flows seems good, I changed it a few times to see if making it tighter would give me more flavor
What wattage/voltage are you using? I tried 10 / 12 and 15 watts
What is the PG/VG, Nic of your juice? 50/50 0 Nic

I don't see a major issue with your build. I, personally, like 32ga but have tried 30ga wrapped on a 5/64 or 3/32 drill bit. 30ga seems to heat up too slowly for my taste. I run a micro coil centered and ~2mm above the air hole.
I use sterile cotton from CVS/Walmart. Rolled tightly fitted loosely through the coil. The ends are tucked away from the juice ports and doused with a few drops of juice.
Hope something I my technique will help.

Yeah I live in so cal but I have no transportation right now so ordering online was a good option for now, how likely is it that it is the juice? I also notice everyone links videos of kayfuns builds but which one is the safest option I might try another rebuild with some other juice I really wish I had more money to work with I'd like to be able to test a naut mini to see if it's the build or the juice

These were the 2 most were suggesting:

Did you like Hawk Sauce before with a clearo? I got Hawk Sauce last month with 2 flavor shots. Still way too strong and chemical tasting after 2-3 weeks and a hot water bath.

Someone mentioned in another thread I was reading that MBV didn't taste good in RBA/RDA. If price is your concern, try ITC vapes. They're juice is better quality, but it costs the same as MBV ($8 for 30ML).

Before you give up, why don't you go to a store and grab a small bottle of premium, pre-steeped stuff and see if you like the vape any better. Wash out your tank good though, and soak it in either vodka or baking soda or something. That Hawk Sauce is very strong and will continue to linger for a bit if you don't.

Asking a stupid question, is the coil right over air flow. If not you get no flavor. Again it's a stupid question.

My thinking is your running your juice too hot. You should try it at 7.2 watts first. Even some juice taste better at 6 watts in a Kayfun dependent on coil ohm as well. On a heavy VG juice I would maybe run 9 watts on Kayfun. Rewick and start at a lower wattage. Maybe your device is not accurately showing wattage. Maybe it's higher than what's showing. Would never vape Kayfun at 15 watts because there is not enough airflow for that. Unless your running parallel or dual coils.

Exactly what I thought about Hawk Sauce. And them same thing in an RBA. I used to use MBV Mudslide. It gunked coils up quickly but I still liked it. When I got an RBA, I couldn't vape it anymore. Tasted terrible.

This is my first setup I've never used a clearo, so for all I know this could be the way hawk sauce taste but I don't think anyone would buy it, Cotton smells fine no odd scents. I didn't get any extra shots either, and I tried a variety of voltages I went lower to higher to see if anything changed, I made sure the coil was right over the airflow hole I watched 2-3 videos before building my coils and made sure it had enough of a gap and I have no form of transportation/short on money right now so I'll have to wait awhile to purchase some other juice, it seems dumb to just return everything but I guess it's trial and error and I expected it to be at least a little better than this

Everyone has different tastes. I've seen some juice flavors highly recommended such as Virgin Vapor Kona Velvet Milkshake, think it even won an award. I bought it, tried it, didn't like it AT ALL. Let it steep for months, tried it again, still didn't like it. Couldn't even vape it. IMO, finding the right flavors is the hardest part. I don't believe there's anything wrong with your build but if you don't have any way/means to try other juices, it's hard to tell.

My fiance and I just bought some hawk sauce day before yesterday, hadn't done any vaping of it yet. Well, we tried it at the store, but those were in some really shoddy clearomizers. So we just loaded some in an Aspire CE5 on her itaste MVP 2.0 and...

It's the juice!!!

The exhale and the after-taste have that machine-oil overtone. She tastes it stronger than I do, but it is definitely there.

I will say - a previous commenter mentioned another juice seller selling 30ml for $8... personally, I doubt you are going to get any sort of quality juice for that price. In my experience, expect to pay at least $20 for 30ml if you want to vape anything that doesn't taste like skittles/unicorn farts.

I recently bought a eleaf istick, a kayfun lite 3 EHPro clone and some juices from mountbaker after cleaning the Ehpro out because I was getting a really bad taste with hawksauce and trying more/less cotton, I can't seem to get any good flavor at all and I'm thinking about returning everything and just not wasting money or buying a naut mini so it's hassle free, the flavor was just awful and like nothing I expected compared to the smell of the juice atleast

This is 2nd post I read today about an RDA tasting awful, and same advice given.

Maybe they are making these clones out of some kind of cheapo materials or something, the other poster had a different kind of "clone" so I imagine it crosses boundaries.

I spent the first part of my career in a madison avenue advertising firm.

What you just said is the prime psychological manipulation that has been used by them, and by marketers for 30 years now.

I can give you a list of many things, both foods and ejuice, that are great and that are *cheap*.

This is why people pay $36 for a T-shirt with a logo on it that is no better than a $5.95 T-shirt from a discount store. They were brainwashed very well. ;)

I myself do not like MBV, but I vape many top of the line premium juices, as well as cheaper juices and they are just fine.

Lest we forget, ejuice is just PG/VG, nic solution and some food flavorings. How you combine, and what flavoring companies you use and combine, ie. the *recipe* is what matters. I've made DIY that's way better than $20 15ml vendor juice, and so have many people here. And I've also made some that is pretty bad. :)

It's not just brainwashing. It's basic economics. Whether a product costs more to make is irrelevant. If I have a higher quality product that buyers will pay more for then I'm going to charge more for it. Maybe the perceived quality is the association with a brand identity, but I think the vaping world is still a bit new and experimental to worry about marketing manipulation by manufacturers.

My comment was derived purely from personal experience, testing different juices. So far, all the juices I've tried blended for a grownup palate have been priced for a grownup paycheck.

It's better than Mt Baker Vapor and costs the same. Don't knock it til you try it at least.

That is very surprising, as clearos are the first thing people use when they get into vaping. If rebuildables were the only option, I would still be on the sticks right now. I commend you for being able to go advanced from the beginning.
