I have an AGA Tiamat+ that has a 2.4 coil with stainless mesh. I have been running it at 3.7 volts. It seems if I raise the volts up any it will give me a burnt taste. I don't think it is wicking fast enough. I can hold this thing upside down and it will not leak from the wick. Is this normal? My carto and glass tank produce so much better of a flavor.

Sounds like you have a sneaky short. It will give you a burnt taste even if it's not turned up if you are getting glowing coils. Also what wire are you using to get all the way to 2.4 and how many wraps. Less wraps, less chances for shorts. Bend the wire in a hard line from the wick with your fingernail before you take it to the post, that helped me alot.
