Well this was a weird one. Has anyone ever had everything taste bad? We went out to dinner tonight. First the ice in my soda tasted off, so I switched to beer. Wasn't great. My Caesar salad tasted like tuna fish instead of anchovy. The only part of my bacon-wrapped filet I could taste was the bacon and it was awful. Shrimp was spiy (hot) but flavorless. Fries were bland. The only thing that tasted good was the chocolate mousse cheesecake! lol Now I'm home having a cup of coffee and it tastes good. I use cream and sugar. So, the sweet stuff is OK but the rest... blech!

Alright, this one interest me simply because I know your pain! I have to ask, what was the last flavor ejuice you vaped before going out? In my experience, there are certain flavors that will make bitter foods taste rather bland (such as menthols, cinnamon-based, and certain tobacco flavors) while still keeping sweet foods sweet. Other flavors will do just the opposite. I always find that the one thing that will tell me if it's my ejuice or not is a good ol' dill pickle. I know it sounds odd, but it's one of the most bitter foods I can find and with a very strong taste.

Also, you might consider getting a tongue brush (I would recommend an OraBrush). Scrub your tongue with that thing before going out and you should be able to taste every detail of your food in full! Again, this is only what works for me; no guarantee it will do the same for you - but it wouldn't hurt to try, I suppose. Good luck!

Interesting! I was a menthol smoker and my adv is menthol still. I'm trying to find something "better," but I'm actually quite happy with the menthol. I can't imagine vaping candy-something all day. Mint, maybe. Carry a stash of Claussens in my purse along with a tongue brush. Got it! On my list for tomorrow. :)

Born and raised in S. Jersey! Where you can get REAL pizza and REAL hoagies and REAL pickles out of a barrel at the deli! lol My family and friends know when I go back, I'm there to EAT first and VISIT second.

philly boy here. until recently i was in bucks county right along the delaware river at the NJ/PA border. same deal. only add cheese steaks and soft pretzels to the list. since i traveled to NY a lot for work for some time, you can add a good bagel when i'm in that area also. also, i've been having a strong craving for some good hot wings lately. they're just not the same here. though, the crabs and the ribs are good. rib shacks every where...

You just had to mention pretzels and cheese steaks, didn't you. And real Chinese food. I haven't seen anything but buffets since I left Jersey. I grew up on "one from column A and one from column B." <sob, sniffle> I think I need to go visit my sister.
