Hi Folks, Just received an Ego-t and an Alter Ego from esmoker and all seems pretty good so far. Looking forward to droping the analogs..lol Currently have some on hand just in case I feel the need.:D
Also received a plethera of juices, mostly sample packs to try and find a good flavor to vape daily. Will be trying other vendors juices just to see the difference, if any..

Hi from another noobie and welcome to ECF.I kept a few analog cigarettes on hand when I first started.Ive had only 6 analogs since I started the e-cigs in a little over 3 weeks now.I was a heavy smoker for over 25 years and the e-cigs are now working for me.Its mind over matter for me now.I don't mind that I no longer smell of smoke and the analog cigarettes just don't matter to me anymore lol.So I wish you the best.

I kept my cigs in an unaccustomed pocket for the first 2 weeks. I only needed one when I screwed up charging at work and was left with no charged battery (I was using small slim ecigs). So I bought more batteries, chargers and bought PTs for home and work in case of battery emergency. Then I put the cigs and lighter in a plastic bag in the car trunk. Never needed them.

Remember to smell the vapor - a lot of the flavor cues are in the aroma. Pay attention to what juices leave you most satisfied and relaxed and be sure to restock those and ones like it. Order more juice in plenty of time for it to be delivered. New vapers are most likely to get caught with no juice. And I recommend you try both dripping and Boge cartomizers (put a juice you like in a carto - they have limited lifespans and only some are successful at cleaning them. I get longest good carto performance with thin light colored juices).

I am also new to this, but this Friday will be 2 weeks!!! something i never could have imagined during my 17 years of smoking. I flushed all of my analogs as soon as i got back from the store with my vape and have not had the urge to buy more since!!

best things i notice after nearly 2 weeks:

- lungs obviously feel better
- throat better too after i realized that you really need to up your water intake when vaping, it makes a BIG difference
- teeth actually starting to get white again, maybe in another month i will not be embarrassed to go to dentist to get a cavity fixed that i have had for a couple years now
- things are tasting a lot better. wait until after about a week of no analogs and then run to the store and pick up some green grapes... my god they are the most amazing things now!!!
- its a pretty good feeling to never go into convenience stores anymore to get smokes and spend whatever else on drinks or snacks while im in there... that stuff really adds up
- NO GUILT
- NO GUILT
- NO GUILT
- NO GUILT
- NO GUILT
- NO GUILT

enjoy the ride, i know i am :)

Yeah...I hear you but any dentist has surely seen much worse teeth than yours. How they look is no reason to avoid getting needed work done.

And to the OP don't get discouraged if you still want a cig now and then at least in the beginning. These folks who quit right away are the lucky beneficiaries of multiple sets of good circumstances including strong willpower.

Lord knows I wouldn't have flushed my cigs before I even got the PV out of the box but hey more power to you!

Welcome to ECF Dooms and don't worry about having a cigarette now and then while getting the hang of vaping! It took me about 6 weeks but I quickly went from a pack a day to just a couple a day until I finally just stopped completely. Still have a dried out cig in the glove compartment but I doubt I'll ever need it! Be proud of what you have done already. It is a very big thing!

Oh, one more thing...

Thanks all for the encouragement.. I am doing good in my view so far. Still hitting the ciggs a little but not bad at all. Less than a pack since Tuesday, normally 1 to 1&1/2 packs daily. I plan to drop them all togeather when I get a little more comfortable using/relying on the Ego's. They taste better than my ciggs do already..:2cool: Looking around for more Juice now but what I already have will last a bit so no rush.

It's been almost 2 weeks at this point, and I'm still doing good. Having some trouble getting past the mornings without smoking at least 1 cigg. Most days, smoking 3-5 total. I do consider this a small victory after smoking for 35 years or so, although I have no intention of stopping here.

The Ego's are doing ok, when they are clean. The Ego-t system I have tends to leak and sometimes it's a bottomless pit..lol , It's that huge wrapping around the coil when it's dry I guess. Have ordered more flavors form GourmetVapor and more atomizers and carts from a few others. Also am going to try this "Smok Tech Dual coil LR 510 Mega Cartomizers 1.5 Ohm" . Saw the review here Smok Tech Dual coil LR 510 Mega Cartomizers 1.5 Ohm, 5 Pack - E Cig : Boge Leo | Joye eGo & eGo-T | 510 | Cartomizers | E-juice | Electronic Cigarette | eGo Tank | Leo and this looks more like plug and play than the others I have seen.. Oh!! the flavors are starting to taste much better now..:vapor:
