I've used this Google search going back to Jan 1st ('13) w/ the custom range option:

cigarette site:New Jersey Legislature

Not a thing. I've also paged through all the threads on this forum going back to about Sept, looking for the string "jer" w/ Firefox page search. (I guess I could try again w/ "NJ".)

Given NJ's history ... is it possible that there's no legislation introduced for this session? Where's the tax legislation, the flavor bans, the internet sales bans, etc.?

This is all I can find, which doesn't appear to apply to vaping:

http://www.njleg.state.nj.us/2012/Bills/S3000/2961_I1.PDF

I've even searched some of my "favorite" ANTZ sites, etc. Zip. Zero. Nada.

Indoor vaping has been banned in NJ for years, at least back to 2010 when I started. They were ahead of the curve, and will catch up to the other states in taxing, increased regulations. NJ just hates it if they are not on the top of the heap in the level of taxes on anything.

The talk now is for increasing the gasoline taxes "because other states are taxing higher" ....:facepalm::facepalm:

Roger,

No e-cig bills have been introduced in NJ this year.

If/when potentially threatening bills are introduced in states, I typically post them within a day or two on ECF.

We know about ALL of the state bills, but its the municipal ordinances that sometimes fly under our radar (as the ANTZ often secretly lobby for a majority of council votes before they ever introduce the bills in order to prevent us from exposing and opposing, and since we typically find out about local ordinances via local news stories after the bills have been introduced).

I scour the Internet myself. I haven't seen anything. Maybe ecigs were put to rest here in Jersey when they were added to the indoor smoking ban. I do know a store has just been fined for vaping in their shop. Found this on FB. Someone added to that post, there is a rash of this going on here lately, but I have no confirmation of that.

I could find 3, all in committee:
S602: Raises minimum age for purchase and sale of tobacco products and electronic smoking devices from 19 to 21.
S752: Prohibits persons under 19 from smoking in public and purchasing tobacco products.
A1978: Prohibits use of tobacco products on the grounds of any public or private institution of higher education.

All introduced in mid January, only s602 looks like it is a new bill this year.
