a word to anybody who vapes: even if you don't like menthol flavors (which I do, in fact its about all I vape these days), I STRONGLY recommend getting at least one bottle for when you're sick! it works greeeaaaat! I got a bad cold and a stuffed up nose and I gotta tell you this stuff clears my sinuses and eases my throat better than any cough drop I've ever had. if your sinuses are bugging you, whether dry or congested exhale through your nose. if you're dried up, it'll moisten your nose. if you're stuffed up it'll thin up the mucous and decongest you no problem! it's like a cough drop and a humidifier all in one!

Have another bottle for rubbing on sore muscles--cheaper than Ben Gay and it tastes about the same :)

My girlfriend is in my bed sick right now. Last night she was up and wanted a cigarette (she doesn't vape) and couldn't finish it because it hurt her throat; I remember the same thing happening to me when I was sick. She asked if she could use my PV, a KR808D-1, I had some 24mg e-juice in it but I got a carto on the table with 18mg in it, Summer Peach from Johnson Creek so it was 100% PG, and that didn't bother her throat. She took it in the bedroom with her and I haven't seen her since. Good thing I have some extra batteries laying around.
I used to despise menthol cigarettes when I smoked too, I have some Arctic Menthol and bet that would be easy on her throat/sinuses too.

I think I'm going to pick up either some menthol crystals or pre-mixed menthol flavouring. I already have spearmint and peppermint but I think I'd want to use some menthol next time I get a cold -- which, if my track average holds, should be soon. I'll be sure to whip up a batch of some killer menthol and vape the bajeebers out of it, because I know it'll work better than any Vicks Vap-O-Rub or cough drop (both of which I hate). Could even mix in some sort of fruit for an icy fruit sensation. The possibilities are limitless.

Maybe I won't dread my next cold as much as I normally do. :)

My Favorite is Extra Strong Flavor Menthol from E-Liquid Emporium, more often than not I will mix it with a little bit of the Kiwi or Peppermint from the same vendor, I always use menthol in everything I vape except for Maple Syrup flavor. I find it to be a very very refreshing thing to vape :D

all the menthols I've tried are so minty .. this Vapor4life's Smilin' Special menthol is a good analog simulation .. ??

it's a sweet mint so no. you want a good analog simulation get V4L's Wowboy Peppermint, it's tobacco with peppermint as a background flavor, heard it tastes a lot like Marlboro Smooths.

I don't like mint but the two menthols I vape are slightly sweet, very cold, and very much a menthol vape :thumb: :D Arctic Ice by Vapor Bomb and Mr. E Liquid's Menthol.

i have been mixing menthol with most things i vape as well. i love the cool feeling and the TH from it. menthol doesnt really change the flavor much but adds the menthol kick. i find that i dont get much, if any, TH from anything without menthol in it. possibly because i was a menthol smoker.

i have done it with raspberry, strawberry pina colada and french vanilla ice cream flavor. all have come out like a great flavored menthol, even though i like the flavors on their own.

i can imagine how it helps when the throat doesnt feel great.

I too am fighting a cold and stumbled on this thread, and am not surprised it's only a few days old. Is there something going around?

I was never a menthol smoker normally, but might occasionally switch when I had a cold. Sounds pretty diehard, but I'll bet I'm not the only one here, and smoking through a chest cold always made me realize how hooked I was. So I've just trotted out some old menthol liquid (but not old enough to lose its menthol clout) to see if it helps me decongest. I like that I can attempt this without feeling guilty.
