So earlier today I went to the gym. I actally managed to run 1.5 miles on the treadmill, (slowly) for over 20 minutes continuously. This is HUGE. The last time I went to the gym, over 4 months ago, I ran for about 5 minutes and had to stop because I couldn't breathe.

Healthy lifestyle, here I come. I can't wait to get back in shape and drop the 30+ pounds I gained since my last gym visit.

Wow, congrats! And just after 6 days of being off analogs, that's awesome! Making me think I should get back into swimming...In my younger days I used to be able to swim for hours on end, but the last time I swam I was breathing heavy after about 10 mins., my muscles have no problem with swimming, it was just my lungs that had a BIG problem with it! lol I've only been vaping for 11 days now. Yay, you've given me hope!

Big congratz on that!

It has been one of my biggest goals to get off of analogs so I could get back in to hockey again. I was planning on quitting in the summer anyways, but now because of vaping I have reached the goal a bit earlier so I could train my body back up again.

My problem is, I need to gain about 30 lbs before I get back into hockey, I don't wanna get tossed around with me weighing in at only 155 @ 6'5"

If I could give you my 30 pounds I gladly would, but alas, I will have to stick wth exercise.

I seriously think this is going to be a game changer for me. I had quit smoking about a year and a half ago and was up to running 3+ miles per day, but the stress of finals got to me last November and I started again. If this kind of improvement can happen for me in just a few day, I can't wait until I've been off analogs for a year or more.

Congrats Cowboy!!! I have also been hitting the gym since I quit analogs. 40 days later I'm doing 20 min warmup on bike, 1 hour on weights and 3 miles in 30 minutes on the treadmill. Lost 8 lbs. and have seen my body change drastically. Don't push yourself too hard and take things slow. Also try and find a workout buddy it really makes a BIG difference in helping motivation.
