Oh no, hubby's being a sweetie. He's just paranoid about buying from anyone but Amazon online.
We were watching tv Saturday and saw an ad for e-cigs. He offered to buy me one if I was willing to try it.
I got online, did some research and found this place. I picked out $159 worth of stuff at V4L and he paid for it.
I have my own money and credit cards but I really shouldn't be spending that kind of money.
He said he'd been looking for e-cigs on Amazon for me for a while.
He's never smoked.

I received a DHL email a few weeks ago that was very spammy, pretty much exactly what you decribed. I didn't have any credit card purchases going so don't worry, it was probably just a coincidence.

Was probably just spam . If it were just my card I wouldn't worry so much as I've been through it before. Hubby is vary paranoid. Don't want him to regret buying me my kit. I told him about Paypal's policy about e-cigs.

I feel pretty confident about V4L as they are mentioned here a lot.
Just wondered if I should give someone somewhere a "heads up" about this.

no i havent had that happen. im hoping ur and ur credit are safe. i ordered my kit on line from v4l and it came without a hitch. showed up licky split. i have a yahoo acct and didnt get any crazy dhl msgs today either. cant hurt to alert everyone of what u got.... just in case but i get those kinds of emails all the time. its deliveries or someone has used ur acct and i dont have an acct or something. all scams. hang in. i hope eveything works out.

I believe DHL stopped doing business in the USA around Jan 1st. 2011. I have gotten those scam emails also, never did figure out what they hoped to gain by contacting me but I am sure it was some type of scam.

I would run a virus scan asap, if the one you usually use doesn't catch anything download this: (it's free) Malwarebytes I'm 99.9% sure it had nothing to do with your order, but when you get a fake email and it has an attachment there is a possibility that it planted a trojan in your pc.

I get them in my Yahoo account all the time. Never get them in my primary account. Yahoo dumps all of them into the Spam folder. No doubt, if you'd clicked on that link, you'd have a virus, but it wouldn't hurt to run a scan anyway.
