It is more likely that they stole the photo from the JC website. As that is what they do. Johnson Creek Original Smoke Juice - The Best E-Liquid in the World - Made Right Here in America

I honestly don't think that they make their own nicotine extract, I'm thinking that the VG/PG nic base comes from China. If someone here in the US was making a nic base, people would be all over it and their process would be patented . We wouldn't need to buy eliquid from China and have it imported to DIY.

They're definitely mixing their recipe here in the USA though.

I only know what Christian has told me...

Is your assumption possible? Sure... but we can only go on what people tell us and Christian has said it is made here.

It is clear though that this Chinese company stole the picture off of JC's website, and I am not surprised to see a Chinese company stealing content and/or pictures. ;)

You can buy nicotine in America! See this post:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/nicotine/14436-nicotine-sale.html

So if you have a proper facility, or you can hire a laboratory to make your e-liquid, you can make your own, without buying from china.

100 ml of 99.9% Nicotine for $147.

I've posted a diary on Dailykos and ask anyone who might have accounts there to feel free to come over and support.

Daily Kos: Waxman’s gift to Marlboro

Bear in mind this is a liberal blog so ideally we'll want people to comment in a liberal frame of reference. I'm looking to gain support from liberals not turn them against e-cigs.

I don't see this as a left/right issue obviously there are supporters of E-cigs on both sides of the political spectrum and there are arguments to be made from either political stance against them. Just remember arguments that are effective when discussing the issue with Republican's or Libertarians will not be effective when dealing with Democrats and other liberals who are automatically suspicious of certain right wing framing.

My suggestion when dealing with us liberals is to point out the big tobacco/big pharma angle we tend to be very distrustful of large corporations, Also bear in mind that many of us have high oppinions of people like Waxman and attacking him is likely to produce a negative reaction.

Sourcing matters. No liberal takes anything from sources like NewsCorp (Fox News) or CATO on face value we have a long experience with these organizations distorting issues we're familiar with.

Also if you happen to be of a more liberal mindset please join the Progressive Vapors social group I've created here on ECF as a place to coordinate campaining from a more liberal perspective.

Good job, my friend! I posted to your diary as I am also a member. The word needs to get out no matter what a person's political affiliation. :)

Thanks ccure, I was just about to post something similar.

Why is it that people find it so hard to understand or believe that JC, or any properly set up business for that matter, can simply buy liquid nicotine right here to make their own eliquid?

Your welcome!

Maybe someone there can ask a agrochemicals company to make an organic insecticide with the same recipe of e-liquid, that way we (americans) will f*** the FDA.

So we will end smoking Organic Insecticide!!!! ;)

So I finally, for the first time in my life, wrote to my Senators. I came here and took a look a the OP, and low and behold one of them is on the Health Committee! I just hope my words help keep e-cigs alive! I don't want to go back to analogs!
Good on you! Care to share your letter? It just might inspire someone else to write their own.

Cheers,

~~Cheryl

The following e-mail was inadvertantly sent to at least several members of Congress. Looks like the FDA has been planning this for awhile, and next Tuesday could bring very bad news to e-cigarette marketers and users in the US. But the US Senate can still trump the FDA by amending the Waxman/Kennedy legislation to allow e-cigarettes on the market.

Subject: [LIKELY_SPAM]FDA Outreach: FDA Takes Enforcement Action on Electronic Smoking Products, Entering Clearance

Subject/Headline: FDA Takes Enforcement Action on Electronic Smoking Products

Planned Release Date: May 5

Driving Event: Compliance action

Rollout Plan: Extensive rollout planned including press conference at HHS, press release, fact sheet, video for upload to YouTube, podcast, consumer article, consumer Q &A, key message points, internal media Q & A, Op-Ed, photos of products for posting on Internet.

Other background, hidden factors: Action involves three largest distributors. One of the distributors has just sued FDA seeking a restraining order to prevent us from holding their product at the border. There is keen interest in this subject. E-cigarette kiosks are all over town, including Montgomery Mall. They're being advertised as a safer alternative to cigarettes. Our concern is that this might introduce nonusers to nicotine use. This is a drug delivery device. The content of the products have not been analyzed by FDA. To be sold, they would have to be approved by the agency.

Spokespersons: Janet Woodcock and Deborah Autor

I sent letters last week to the whole Health Committee as we were requested but am so nervous about next week! I could only do about 5 certified mail because if the cost, and the other went snail mail, which they may not get in time because of the all the security mail goes through. Do we start calling their offices?

Oopsie. I think this will backfire on them - the more publicity for e-cigs and vaping the more their prohibitionist position will look small-minded and counter productive.

IMO, of course.
