USP Grade Vg is what is recommended. (Pharmaceutical grade). You can find it on amazon, or through many flavor vendors. Walmart and some drug stores sell USP grade VG in either the first aid, skin care of hair section. Or look here:

USP grade is 99.5% pure. The VG in that link is 99.9%, I would guess it's decent to use, though I have no experience with that brand.
I couldn't say one way or the other. If the label is true (and I would lean towards that it is) then it's good to go. The last VG I bought was from Essential Depot.
I don't know that one either, but USP dictates min. 99% glycerol and ph.eur(EP) strangely is less strict with just min. 98%, although they usually are stricter than USP with most other stuff.
Most vg is listed at min. 99.5%, although many in the states is listed at 99.7%. They meassure based on there coa's usually 99.7% or 99.8%. I've only seen 99.9% once and that was in Musim Mas's vg from indonisia.
Sidenote, on nicotine rivers page, they state that the best vg isn't from US, but from Indonisia and Malasia, since that's where there's an abundance of good palm oil and palm oil plantages/distilleries, and that vg from the US instead uses other substitutes for this missing ingredient, which should make for a lower consistency product... I don't know if it's true or just marketing...
Anyway, nicotine river and some others use Musim Mas, which is the biggest palm oil plant in the world they state(Again, I don't know if true or not, just repeating), but it's really impressive to me with the 99.9% purity, though...
Maybe that is also why there's such a big difference in vg viscosities, based on the source material?
I would love to get my hands on some...
