I was cleaning my ProVari and noticed some stuff - CHIPS! CHIPS IN MY PROVARI'S PAINT AND SOME EXPOSED METAL! (Caps intended for fury!) Where the !@#$ did they come from?! I haven't dropped it, it goes everywhere with me, and generally is kept in a durable container. So how the hell did I chip it? Oh well, since my ProVari is built like a tank, I'm pretty sure it's just losing some paint because of how often I use it. I'm proud of my ProVari. I'm like a kid with a brand new toy "HEY GUYS LOOK AT THIS!" *Pulls ProVari from his jacket and holds it up to the sky* Muahahahahaaaa! Anyhow, was looking around and stumbled upon a device I may just get for home use only. Was looking at the Semovar. But the information on said Semovar is very vague. Which is why I HAVEN'T purchased it yet. It says it has almost everything that my ProVari has maybe I missed something? But the biggest thing is SHORT PROTECTION! That's a must have as I do have an Ohm reader but for my purpose as I'm sure I'm not the only one - as soon as my builds are done, I slap em on and vape away. If there is a short - the ProVari tells me right away. Which then, I break it down, work on it, vape on another device, and when I think I got it, pull the current device off, and try again. I really should invest in a backup ProVari... but the Semovar is kinda tickeling my soul right now.

I need to think on this one and maybe get some additional information as well as input.

I don't know where chips might have some from, but the colored ones do show wear. I keep all of mine in flexi-sleeves: SerenityGear Leather - Home

I'm sure you'll get replies about the Semovar. Pricy, but I haven't read any bad reviews about it.

Perhaps I'm doing it wrong, but I plan on using one of those AFTER the finish on my Provari begins to look worn. I enjoy looking at the satin silver finish far too much to cover it with a sleeve just yet.
