I was advised to start at 24ml nic when I quit cigs, but I had a hard time telling when I had enough nic
as is doesn't get absorbed in the body like cigs do.
Since then I have learned to tell when I've over done it. I start getting a headache.
Then I'll lay it down and guzzle a ton of water. The headache go's away pretty fast when I do that.
I don't "carry" it around, but it's always close. I make sure it's in the same room I am !
I can get busy for an hour or two and forget all about it, then I go look'in... just like I did with cigs.
When I'm reading or using the computer is when I usually forget the water, and overdo the PV.
I'm beginning to treat PV's like cigs now ... have some, go do something else for about an hour, and then start looking for my nic again.

For you fellow chain-vapers, does upping the nic curb the habit? And, if so, what mg level did it? Just curious:).
I actually had to tune my nic down because I chain vape. I started at a mere 12mg, but due to chain vaping I was noticing odd heart rhythms, so I'm at 6mg now and that seems to have stopped the heartbeat issue. I do still have a bit of juice that's 12mg, but I'm being more careful of it and will grab something that is loaded with 6mg when I catch myself in epic chain vaping mode.

Basically, I have no idea what moderation is and tend to adjust my physical "fix" to my psychological habit, not the other way around. When I did analogs, it was 3+ packs a day.

When I quit smoking around 8 months ago, I chain vaped like no ones business! To me it was normal. Putting the cigarette down seemed easy because I was replacing the nicotine with an equal alternate. The hardest thing was finding a replacement for that "umph"....lol or kick I would get in my chest and lungs and getting used to the throat hit. I wouldnt switch back to analogs for ANYTHING!

putting it down is getting easier as it goes, even easier as the analogs go. totally hooked on the idea of flavors, and haven't touched tobacco flavor since first week. as any habit modification goes, it is a process. identifying triggers, finding new activities to pass the time. looking at how smoking affected all my other behaviors. and of course working the program right here alongside my fellow vapers. i find i can put it down for long periods. another process as i want to teach myself to cope without the crutch. aren't we so jealous of non smokers who don't need anything to help when life decides to be unkind. so teaching myself to not to rely on it is one of my goals. as the process moves forward i need to work on how i cope with stress. right now i want to chain vape, but i do a little too much of that while on these threads. so starting to pay attention to that behavior, and tell the inner child to go to it's room when the urge hits.

I work at night, so I work in a building with people that smoke, so I vape all night long. Can I put it down? I dont know, but I dont. I vape alooooot when i am awake and I keep my ecig around my neck so I never put it down. Im on my 2nd month of not smoking cigarettes and so far I am not saving alot because i am still expermenting with flavors, formulas, vendors, etc. I am thinking that I will narrow it down and by my 3rd month, the savings will apply.....keep vaping!!!
I spend most of my time at home, both before and after I started vaping, so I tend to vape in a manner similar to the way I smoked. Then again, at 2.5 packs a day I had been chain smoking quite a bit, camped out at the computer. I've only been vape-only for 22 days, and for the first 10 days or so I set my Egos down in my ashtrays when I wasn't vaping. I've spent about the same amount on vape stuff as I would have spent on cigarettes but I've got over a year's supply of juice.

If you're looking for the best price (that I've seen, anyway) on ejuice, check out Mt Baker Vapors. Some say their flavors are mediocre, others like me are thrilled with them. $10 for a 50ml bottle, and they have up to 36mg/ml nicotine for those who desire it. You can order high-strength juice with up to 5 extra "flavor shots" at 25 cents each, then cut both the nic and the flavoring with VG and/or PG, making it even less expensive. For example: add 50ml of VG (approximately $1 in cost) to 50mg of 36mg/ml nicotine juice, and you've now got 100ml of 18mg/ml nicotine juice.

For anyone that would like to reduce the frequency that they are vaping, dripping may help you out.
When you are dripping, you can't just sit there mindlessly vaping.
:)
dripping is a lot of work. i do it at home when i want a switch from my everyday tank mod.definitely slows down the vaping process. not practical for car or work.

I also have this problem as well. I've been chain vaping constantly on a day-to-day basis, but on the good side, i'm running on 0mg of nicotine so i'm not as worried
how long from your starting dosage to zero nic? what flavors do you use primarily? do the flavors cover for the nicotine fix? have you been classified as a non smoker? my plan is to try to get to 0 nic in six months.

I've got no schedule for reducing nicotine. It might be nice but isn't a priority for me. 2 days ago I got my first 36mg/ml nicotine juices and find myself chain vaping less than I did with 24mg/ml juice. My clearos usually have a mix of 2 different strengths, or I'll add some PG or VG to thin, thicken or stretch them so I'm rarely vaping the full 36mg strength. I don't keep exact track but I think I'm vaping about 3.0 to 3.5ml of juice per day now, where I previously was between 4 and 5.

I've got nic juice waiting for me at the PO. Box was too big for the carrier to fit in my oversize mailbox which is over half a mile from my house. I'm going to mix some with PG and VG only, no flavoring, and see if I enjoy it, before I start messing with my teeny new collection of TFA 6ml flavor bottles.

I don't live in the middle of nowhere. The middle is too congested. I live in the uncharted outer fringes of nowhere. "If the directions to your house include 'turn off the gravel road onto the dirt path'"...... yep, that's me, lol.
