lol.

Been toying with disposables since I learned about refilling cartridges (as I wait for my rechargable to arrive). My disposables dont taste any different before vs. after I refill. Chalked it up to inferior product.

One battery arrived along with a 5 pack. Think I have 5 duds.. The 3 I've used have no taste outside of burnt and plastic and refilling does nothing. Chalked this up to bad product.

While waiting for ANOTHER set to come, I caved and bought a greensmartliving starter kit at the local smoke shop. The carts included were menthol. i've refilled this with my eliquid and it doesnt taste any different. Im HOPING this is because the initial flavor is menthol (which hasnt been burnt up yet, and is stronger than the peach Ive been putting in) but am entirely open to the idea that iM just doing something wrong.

Its not rocket science.. take off the plastic cap and drop 5 drops onto the stuff around the center, let it soak in, prime, then smoke. Have I somehow managed to mess this up? Just want this stuff to finally taste good, been donig this for a week to no avail and im getting frustrated.

Heh. Some pre-filled cartos are really bad at being not-so-pre-filled. The problem is if they arrive dry and you try them when dry, or you allow them to go dry during use, the coil inside singes the dried out filler. Once it's been burned you can never get that taste out.

Menthol is a flavor that hangs on. It's not really practical to try and change a menthol flavor in a carto into "other."

My experience is the same as other posters - menthol dominates - for me I find it can even overpower a tobacco flavor - hard to properly blend tobacco flavor plus menthol.

You are not doing anything wrong - that menthol is powerful stuff

I don't know your system and whether or not you could rinse it under hot water and then soak out the menthol taste using vodka or ever clear and then hot rinse out the vodka and dry.

My sincerest advice is to avoid cigarette-size batteries like you've been using, and advance up to eGo type batteries. You can't expect the smaller batteries to give you the performance anywhere close to mimicking a real cigarette. If you are serious about giving up cigarettes, you'll need to make some concessions about size and appearance.

You've also likely been using inferior e-liquid flavors. Most "smoke" or tobacco stores won't be carrying quality gear or juices. Try to find a local vape brick & mortar where better gear and better juices can be found; often allowing you to sample the flavors before you buy. This might be worth a day trip to one of these places to avoid buying blind online.
