Ok, today is the day! I'm so excited for the switch. I have smoked Marlboro Lights for 15+years, and today I am getting the njoy Npro mini e-cig. They have it at a Pilot station just a hour north of me, and in a few hours, I'm going to get it!

I have a few questions, as I am new to this, and have researched it for almost 24 hours straight. I'll list the questions to make it a little easier.

1. Is there a better product than the Npro? I want the white cigarette look so I can physically fool myself into thinking its the real thing. Just so much info online, I really need help here.

2. Can I buy the liquid and use it in the Npro mini? Is there one someone could refer me to, that gives me the Marlboro Light taste?

3. Is there a place where I can buy parts for the Npro? I'm scared, I will quit smoking, and then my e-cig go out on me. I want to make sure I have a spare ready to go. I dont really know whats compatible with what.

Thanks a million. Hopefully this gives me more years on my life. Any advice is much appreciated.

The Njoy Npro was my first e-cigarette, and still is my basic workhorse. I have three other styles (DSE 801, M401 and Red Dragon). All have advantages and disadvantages. I still take my Npro with me everywhere for a quick puff during the day. If I go out for a drink, I take the Red Dragon due to its superior vapor production and ease of use (the atomizers are built into each cartridge). The DSE 801 is a much longer e-cigarette and so holds more liquid, so I use it if I plan to be sitting and vaping for a while. The M 401 is small (even a little smaller than the Npro), and slick looking. Easy to stick into the pocket and go. Has a tiny cartridge that does not hold much liquid.

Keep those used Npro cartridges. It is easy to drip a couple of drops (but no more!) of e-liquid into the small cartridge.

Atomizers for the Npro: go to ruyandirect.com (a Chinese company). They sell the atomizer for RN 4081 mine e-cigarettes, or, in plain English, the Npro, for $5.50 each. I have bought five from them, although my original two atomizers are doing well.

If you like the taste of the Npro cartridges (and I actually do) Costco sells them for a pretty good price (but only online, not at the actual stores).

Hi Redrowdy, Yes there is a better product then the Npro but as per personal experience, The Npro is not a bad choice for the money. My first e-cig was a Npro that I paid $60 for @ pilot. The carts come in a pk of 10 for $20. This is way to expensive at if you were going to purchase a npro or any other e-cig to be cost effective you will need a supplier for Liquid.
The npro feels good in the hand and gives a good vapor and throat hit. I was and still am a heavy smoker/vaporer and the battery lasts about 3 hours before it needs to be recharged. The problem I have with the npro is that the cart is too small and you will be needing to top it off quite often. I don't like the fact that you need a device to push the cart out to refill it as you cant just drip the liquid into it without getting some in the mouth piece and getting liquid into your mouth. I use a paper clip to push the cart up to refill. The npro is not hassle free but like I said it will do it's job.
Taste, Your not going to find a liquid to taste like a mlbo lt. or any other tobacco cig flavor. But tobacco flavor malboro or camel taste pretty good as you will not be disappointed + many suppliers have it in stock.
Parts, Njoy has a good warranty BUT seems to be on back order as many suppliers are having a hard time with customs. I know that the battery from the Dse-103 will fit your npro atomizer which are available everywhere. Atomizer replacement Im not 100% sure but i think it is an rn series?
BOTTOM LINE. If your Pilot store has them for about $60 and your in a rush to get one. It is not a bad choice.

Hope this helps and good luck and have fun!

Thanks so much. Any other advice is more than welcome.

As per our earlier conversation;

Good prices on atomizers and spare batteries below. Have at least a few atomizers on hand. They could go cold at any time. I'm comfortable with 3 attys, and 2 spare batteries. When I get down to 2 attys, I order 3 more.

Ruyandirect.com Best E-smoking Shop

My preferred e-juice supplier is below. I order 5 bottles at a time, and reorder when I get down to 2. I blew it this time. My brother-in-law started e-smoking, and I gave him part of my stash. Now I'm sweating delivery before I run out of juice. (I won't let that happen again)

Johnson Creek Original Smoke Juice - The Best E-Liquid in the World - Made Right Here in America

When you make your way to the Texas group, people will give you hundreds of suppliers.

I've been enjoying my NJOY NPRO for about 3 weeks now and it's really done the trick. I just drip 2-3 drops in the atomizer every time I go to take a few drags, it might be too much but I don't like letting the batting dry out and I don't want to risk the atty burning out so this method has been working pretty well. Still hitting as hard as it did the first day. I didn't like the carts that came with it and got juice from TrueVapor and it's lasted me from the day I started 3 weeks ago til now where I still have a little under half of it left. I just refill the carts that came with it, take a few drags, drip a few drops on the atty and then I'm good to go. I don't leave house without 2 or 3 carts and my bottle of liquid though. You never know when you're gonna need to refresh.

Congrats. Keep your enthusiasm up! :) It will be overwhelming for a while. Take it easy, nice and slow.

Npro performs well, about average. If you think cigarette like look is important, then see if you like Janty Dura C/Yeti/Titan/Joye510. Cost less than Npro, but it performs quite well, especially if you get used to the manual switch.

2. Can I buy the liquid and use it in the Npro mini? Is there one someone could refer me to, that gives me the Marlboro Light taste?
You can refill your liquid your own, and it makes e-cigs much cheaper alternative than buying carts. Njoy carts are expensive. Npro carts do perform alright, but not to the amount they advertise. Maybe 3-5 cigs maximum, not 10 cigs. Sadly, there's no real juice which really mimics Marlboro light taste that well at all. Try getting used to the new flavor and find the one you like.

3. Is there a place where I can buy parts for the Npro? I'm scared, I will quit smoking, and then my e-cig go out on me. I want to make sure I have a spare ready to go. I dont really know whats compatible with what.
Npro is a model called RN4081. Best place would be bulk ordering from China. Few atomizers, and few batteries. Shipping is expensive, but it pays off if you order a bunch.

Thanks a million. Hopefully this gives me more years on my life. Any advice is much appreciated.

Again, I'd say go with Joye510, and thank me later. :) I like my RN4081 for what's worth - but if I was beginning all over again, I'd make Joye510 as my first e-cig. I used to think DSE901 might be a better choice, but if you can find a steady supplier who can supply parts, with good price (and price has been fallen down a little bit too) - you will get one of the best performing stock e-cig.

Let me say: my previous attempts to stop smoking always failed when I would drink alcohol. I simply had to have a cigarette with my booze.

Tonight, I am flying ‘solo’, i.e., no real cigarettes but only the e-type. I have made it, and I was helped a lot by the Npro. Through it all the Npro (I had a new cartridge in it) has been the most consistent in delivering vapor and throat hit. My 801 has been second, with the Red Dragon a surprising third place (it did not do well in ‘chain smoking’) and my 401 last (it is good every couple minutes, but not before).

I was purposely ‘drinking’ tonight (yeah!) so as to test the various e-cigarettes. I told my wife I may do so again tomorrow night as part of the test.

red, the npro was my first and only e-cig. I have to say, so far no problems. I did find the carts that came with the starter kit lacking. I was using the npro and still smoking. I switched to dripping 36mg juice that I got at totally wicked. That was on May 5 and haven't had an analog since. One other thing, the carts that came with the npro only held a few drops of liquid. I ordered blank carts from wicked and they held alot more juice. It's the same size cart so I'm thinking maybe it's the core material. Either that or I've vaped so much 36mg I forgot how to count. LOL

Wow, me and my fiance are shocked by all the helpful tips. You guys rock. I picked up the npro last night, and Im totally amazed. I swear this product has to be one of the best inventions in quite some time. I'm reading through this thread and some others on this forum, so I can become more knowledgable.

If you read this Jim, I still havent quite figured out how to find the person you told me about. I dont know how to join the Texas group, but I am more than interested!!! Let me know.

Dude,
did she buy it? I gotta try that approach! She's heard every story out there. That is good. Testing my npro. By the way I have 4 npros and love them. Get good vap and throat hit.

Started NPro 12/12/10. Were available locally, major point. Have had 0 problems, but could quickly see a cheaper way. Bought some eliquid, locally of course, had watched a Utube on filling empty carts. Use the deeper of the 2 caps that come on each cart. Turn inside out cut off the nipple in the bottom. In vert again and drip 10 drops. Insert cart with the mouthpiece up(don't want the juice on that end). It will wick the juice into the cart. The video said it would take another 10 drops and repeat. I did several that way then had one way to full(messy) So now it's usually just 3 or 4 drops the second go round. When I noticed the flavor or vapor getting burnt or lo. Pop in another one. I've refilled some of the carts 6 or 7 times and have yet to have a failure. Batteries last ME almost all day, store bought carts about that long, with my refills a little less. The cig appearance thing is not an issue now. Have been pleased with everything about the NPro, with none of the horror stories, but my new EGO should be here today. 900 Mah batteries should last way longer and with MEGA carts too.
Good Luck,
Dave

Awesome thing about the nPro (RN4081) is they polish nice! If it gets dinged up or you no longer care about it looking like an analog you can chuck it up in a drill and sand the finish off. Then with a little 3M glaze (or any good automotive polish) on the battery, and peeling the colored carto tape off, you get something like this...
