Found out today that I have two 510 LR atties on the way and that I may be able to use them with this version of the FP safely. If I am able to use them on this PV, I will do another review with the new atties! :D

I am so excited by all the new hardware coming out these days! Our modders are working wonders! :)

Hey mamacat.

Awesome to see the Fistpack in use. I just read 18 pages on VF about this. Even placed a sample request to TI for the boosters, but sadly there on back-order til July. I am anxious to start work on one. Its a beautiful piece of art!!!

Still loving it! :)

Indeed he came up with the idea for the body first, but not the circuit, which is what sets this one apart from all the others IMO.

Very nice Mod and review mamacat:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

Thank you so much! :)

Has anyone tried putting an AFS on this? Can the button still be activated?

Thanks, Elendil I have this question as well...and this may be a selling point for me.

I am also wondering what the procedure/policy is should a battery replacement be necessary.

I try to think ahead in terms of years and zombie apocalypses, and as much as I love the concept of not having to deal with batteries, it concerns me that if the thing should crap out... what can be done to regain awesomeness again.

This answer can be given definitively in the next week or so. I will report back when there is a definitive answer. Seems to currently be a very slight tolerance level that has to be adjusted to make sure that the AFS V2 will be safe from the button.

If so, then I suppose my red FP one will also require the addition of the AFS V2.

*sigh*

The battery is, iirc, used for 18 months to 2 years before it needs replacement. I believe you just send Nuck an e-mail and he tells you where to send it. He is awesome in terms of customer service!

I got one on the way Mama, ordered last week. Will be testing this out firsthand with the v1 and the v2.

I think Nuck is gonna find out for sure as well, unless thats what you were referring to.

I'm really jazzed about 5v with an AFS, here's to hoping it works out...

...who am I kidding, I'm jazzed about the little glowy lights on the bottom :/

It was what I was referring to but can't wait to hear either way. :D

Hope you like it. I love mine!! The mainstay PV. I mean - how can you go wrong with not having to rotate batteries?

I am so pumped to have my FP on the way soon! After watching your vid and talking to a couple others who have one, I pulled the trigger and ordered. Great review. Thanks!:toast:
Thank you. I did the review because I told him if I ever got one, I would do a review of it. Ummm, he called my bluff. lol

Hope you enjoy it. Be sure to update us on it. :)
