Yea I've read that, but breaktru used 1 button for up and down, I want to use 2 separate buttons. I know it can be done, I'm just not quite sure how. I'm still learning how to read circuit diagrams and spec sheets so both are still a bit confusing for me, it kinda feels like I'm trying to read Egyptian hieroglyphics.

HAHAHAA I know the feeling .. look here on page 3 http://datasheets.maxim-ic.com/en/ds/DS1869.pdf

while you were inside the fistpack, did it appear there might be room to bury the atty/bat connector inside (if the PCB were tilted or removed?), so that the tip would stick out where the switch is?

i really want to see this charger looking more like a Boge Revolution or Janty Stick, hee hee

no there is NO room for that :) the connector is only 1,5mm. trough the crome casing . And the battery ( 2600mah Aw ) is squished in there

I can barely understand those in even a limited fashion, but I at least see somewhat how the controll buttons are wired in, somehow I didn't notice that there is a separate pin for each. So other than the digital pot did you just use the v2 instructions?

had the same problem understanding diagrams 1 year ago :)

you need a 10k resistor in series with chips RW leg .. and just follow the V2 instructions
