Perfect. Thank you both. I had forgotten VG was anti-microbal. I think I'm going to hunt some vet med sites for a glass syringe though. I know they are made. That technique sounds good in a pinch, but it's a little complex for experimenting.

I keep forgetting to ask NN if they use triacetin because I know that's also a plastic eater too. I can't help it, I just like knowing what's used in flavorings. From the comments so far, it sounds like NN isn't using alcohol much, which is good IMO. I think I've had some reactions to that (NF).

......

The OMFG...we mixed it at 2.5, 5, and 7.5% -- the creaminess is there, and it sure seems like it wants really badly to be chocolate...but it just leaves us wanting chocolate. It's a tease.

I'm going to experiment using this as a sweet creamy base for some FA Espresso.

Mayan Mocha - 5%...oh yes, Oh Yes, OH YES...WOW! This is not your McArches/TGIF rendition of a cuppa Mexican chocolate - it's the real deal (although I'm gonna be adding a bit more of some type of chocolate - likely FA Cocoa). The spices are VERY realistic & perfectly intense - and the sweet/creaminess is "just right" :) I typically keep 3 tanks in rotation for ADVs, and this one knocked one of my favorites out of the rotation (as did Patchouli Vanilla). Hubby doesn't like coffee; at high voltages he swears he can taste coffee, but not at low. I'm a coffee hound...and I definitely do not taste the coffee (although I sense it may be in there).

Let us know how the chocolate works out, I may try some espresso here also.

I have to disagree....it melted the syringe plastic body on my juice making adventure....like the witch on Wizard of Oz, but faster..

Wow! We've never heard of any flavor affecting the body of a syringe - that's crazy :( Thanks for the memory - 'love that witch melting away :)

Okay, FA Espresso mixes really well with OMFG it's Chocolate. I mixed ~3 drops of espresso to ~5ml of premixed 7% chocolate, after a heat steep + several days, It actually taste like chocolate. A few more drops of espresso and you have a really nice mocha(at least what I would think a mocha would taste like).

Adding the espresso to some Mayan Mocha is really good also but it seems some of the spiciness is lost.

I liked both enough that I mixed more this morning. :)

Thanks for the great information everyone. I just started vaping my first sample mixes of the simple tobacco base and I agree that it is stellar. I like 1% and 1.5%, but the 1.5% was too strong for my poor cotton wicks. So, now I just mixed up 300 ml of 1% with 7% normal saline and 40/60 pg/vg. In a couple of weeks, I will start using that as a tobacco base.

So, as a former pipe smoker, I am wondering if any of the blends have a "pipey" quality to them. Also, the island tobacco sounds like a fun summer vape. Any thoughts?

I've only had the Honey Tobacco I wouldn't call it "pipey". I've been playing around using it as a base with some FlavorArt tobacco flavors and it mixes well. I imagine you could do the same with your base and come up with what you would call "pipey". I never was a pipe smoker, so I can't really make any recommendations, but I would look into FlavorArt or Hangsen tobacco flavors.

Here are my standard NN recipes, all 30ml bottles. Flavors are measured using drops from a glass dropper (31 drops/ml is what I've found to be average for the flavors). Ratios are pg/vg.

I've been making these like this for a couple months and feel like I have found the sweet spot for me at the following concentrations:
Tobacco - 60/40, 8mg Nic, .75% flavor
Citrus Slap - 50/50, 4mg, 2.5% flavor
Apple Pie - 50/50, 4mg, 3.5% flavor
Shirley Temple - 50/50, 4mg, 3.5% flavor (read that it's a tank cracker but I haven't had that issue at this %)
Very Berry - 50/50, 4mg, 5% flavor (may try 6% sometime)
Strawberry Kiwi - 50/50, 4mg, 5% flavor (may try 6% sometime)

I just got these in a couple days ago. I just mixed up some "standard" test concentrations to try and create a baseline for concentrations. Test bottles are all 17ml, 3.6mg Nic, 50/50 and 3% flavor. All were sampled within a day or so, with no steeping, since I'm trying to get a taste of the juices as they are initially.

Minty Menthol - Used at 1% as a mixer with Patchouli Vanilla and Melon Madness. Has a great "natural", bright flavor, mostly spearmint for me.

Mayan Mocha - Really great. It's not very sweet, not like coffee or milk chocolate. I tastes like cocoa and spices, exactly like the Mexican hot chocolate I tasted back in spanish class in middle school.

Guava Papaya - It's ok, not what I was hoping for (I love MBV's Guava). I think the % is close to where it needs to be but it needs more time.

Coffee & Creme - Pretty good, I looking forward to seeing what 4% tastes like and I plan on blending with other flavors.

Peaches & Creme - Good peach flavor, light, clear and subtle at 3%. Interested to see if the flavor deepens.

Patchouli Vanilla - I haven't tried it straight yet but I did make a Patchouli Vanilla Mint and it shows lots of promise. It's not a thick, sweet vanilla, definitely light with a pleasant vapor smell. edit: I just tried it and it either needs a lot more time or more flavor. The mint one is better at this point. I think it could be a good one if I can figure it out.

Banana Creme Pie - Tastes great at 3%, I would even try it at 2.5% next time. Nice Banana flavor, not sure the pie part is very prominate. Maybe it will come out over time.

Melon Madness - Not real sure about this one, almost nothing there. Definitely needs more flavor (5%?) I made a "Watermelon Mint" by mixing this with the Minty Menthol. I still need to work on this one.

Passion Fruit Coconut Creme - I ordered this thinking maybe it would be something like a Pina Colada flavor, but it's not. At All. I don't even know what passion fruit tastes like so... this tastes like a weird hard candy? My wife loved it though, so it's got that going for it.

If anyone wants to "smell" my Patchouli Vanilla.....you can come sniff my rug. I was opening the bag on my vape mail and the bottle slid out and hit the base of my foot rest........the bottom broke off and gone....in one fell swoop....smells.......fabulous...
waaaaaaaa it would have "tasted" sooo good. Now my vape lair smells heavenly... :(

Moody, that is a big time bummer.

I can't get mango and peach cream to taste good. Just smells and tastes like lemon almost. Also the cream part of it I find kind of gross. If I vape them side by side I can't tell which one is which. They both taste like lemony citrus with a weird (in a bad way) cream thing going on.

Anyone have good luck with these two? For me these are the worst flavors in the Nude catalogue. Pointers?

Smelly,
Have you given the juice any steep time? Steeping will get the sharpness to mellow a bit. Also, if this was a DIY, what flavor % did you use? PG/VG Ratio? There are a lost of potential variable here, but don't give up on it, trust me it's worth every drop...

I personally have had nothing but Great success with EVERY Nude Nicotine flavor I have tried.

Do you use anything to accelerate "steeping"? Just curious:)

I don't use heat or any other device. After I mix up a small batch, I let time age my e-liquids.

I use four hours @ 150 degrees F in a dehydrator. That is before I add my nicotine of course. I found that it really speeds things up. The best example was with Banana Cream Pie. When I first mixed it, it tasted overly sweet and super candy like. Then two weeks later I tried it and it was awesome. Very natural banana taste, the sickening sweetness was gone as well as the candy taste. Now I have that great taste in four hours... To each his own, heated or time steeped. Just make sure you do one of those and you will be surprised. Good luck.

I enjoyed the Pancakes, Boysenberry Jam, Minty Menthol, and Apple Pie within a week or so of making them. OMFG It's Chocolate is not working no matter what % I use. (I think I have a disconnect with vaping chocolate for the most part, so instead of vaping, I'll eat chocolate when I have a craving:(

The most recent flavors I rec'd last week, are all giving me problems lol. I'm hoping in a few more weeks they'll be ok, or maybe I just have to dilute with unflavored nic base (which I vape by itself half the time anyway.) (I only use, generally, 2 or 3 small drops per ml. when mixing up test batches.)

I'm having trouble with the Peaches & Cream and Mango Cream as well. An odd, very sharp citrus note and no cream :(

While I haven't tried either flavor generally citrus notes will mellow with steep time and the cream will deepen. I'd revisit it weekly and see what time brings. I'm not suggesting that these will take as long but I once had a juice that was just awful until it was almost 2 months old when suddenly it became heavenly.

That's true about the possibility of taking a few months before something is great. I just hope the odd citrus notes leave the Peaches and Mango since citrus isn't a flavor I was expecting from those two.
