So positive terminal - led pos -led neg - resistor - battery ground

Yeah thats right with this particular model of light If you use a adapter for the connection be sure to file it or the solder wont stick to it. Next one Ill probably take apart a carto instead.

Although I like the light I have 2 madvapes lights I use. They are taped together though because the top broke in my pocket on both of them.
