I'm not new to vaping or this forum but forgot my log in and created a new page. I stopped checking in and following vape news due to various reasons. Well.. recently I came across a post taking about a ban on nic and I checked the website I last ordered from and all seemed well. Then a few days ago a similar post and I ended up really looking into it and have learned I can no longer order nic. Part vent and part kicking myself for not stocking up. How's everyone adjusting? Any news on a review on this ban?

When you say "nic" you mean eliquid or nicotine base for making your own ejuice?

Because I thought NY only banned ejuice not nic base. Heartlandvapes.com ships nic base to NY as far as I know. In fact, they might even ship their ejuice to NY, too. Not all retailers adhere to state laws. They take the maverick approach.

There are lots of things that are supposed to be verboten, but seem to be available on certain sites. I've only heard of a flavor ban in NY though. Nic base is banned as well?
Yes. I actually called the place I last ordered and they won't even ship nic to me period and advised anything else such as flavors might get taken by shipping company.

That's what I thought as well. Until I came across a post in an fb group and I started searching and it was accurate. That's why I feel it hit by surprise. Had I known I would have prepared. I called to verify they went ship too.

Don't listen to people FB groups or anywhere for that matter. Everyone is an expert these days, but very few deserve the self-appointed title. ;)

Many vape vendors have a tendency to stop all shipments of everything to a state that has a ban on one thing. So in other words, if a state bans eliquid only, they will just not ship anything, even hardware, to that state. They do this because it's the easy way out and also because they are too afraid.

However I will say this, I can see a shipping company possibly being a bottleneck and refusing to deliver to NY. So maybe you might want to try to use a vendor that doesn't have "vapes" or "nicotine' in their name or at least ships under a different name or acronym or something. Heartlandvapes ships under their name so they might not be a good choice for you. But I still say it's hogwash. Heartland sells a lot of liquids that don't contain nicotine.

But I stress: you can't just go by what people say. People say a lot of things that aren't true because people like drama, especially facebookers. Find out for yourself.

I always like to verify and phone call/talk to suppliers directly, could call all or a few of the following:
NicVape
Nicotine Giant
NICOTINE RIVER aka See:River Supply,
Nude Nicotine
From what I've been told.. unsure if it's verifiable but if theres nic or vape in the name the package will be taken regardless of contents.

Nicotine River is no longer Nicotine river, it's just "River Supply" now. So they are an option in that respect.

Here's a list of nic sellers I know of that don't have nic, nicotine, smoke, smokes, vape or any other similar words in their name...

River Supply
Liquid Barn
Wizard Labs
Carolina Xtract Technologies

Just make sure you email them first and ask if they ship to NY and if they've had any problems with confiscated/returned shipments to NY.

In your situation you have to be willing to take risks and not just take the public's word for everything.

You have 4 options to get your nic.

1) order from someone and see what happens

2) have a friend from another state order for you then have them ship it to you (this will cost you extra in shipping costs unless you order enough to get free shipping from the vendor so you only pay shipping from your friend to your door)

3) drive out of NY to make a purchase and bring it back in

4) move out of NY.

No other options that I can see and there's no magic wand here.

The NY ban applies to nicotine base as well as eliquid. Last time I checked a couple of months ago, some companies were still shipping to NY. You can try placing a small order to see if it goes through and then ordering in batches. I wouldn't feel comfortable ordering it all at once.

I imagine as time goes on there will be less and less of an opportunity. So if you're going to try, now is the time. Not sure if I'd even call and ask. I'd just place the order and see what happens.

The other option is to ship to someone out of state that you can pick it up from. Maybe a good time to plan for a Thanksgiving trip out of state? Or setup a ship forwarding service. Not sure if the ship forwarding services have a vape policy though.

As far as I understand it, if an eliquid is PMTA approved, it will be allowed in NY. Not sure if it can be shipped to NY though even if PMTA approved. I wonder if anyone is submitting a PMTA for unflavored base? In any case, I don't know how long until any PMTA is approved.

My only thought about that is if the person who ships it is at risk. They would essentially be violating the NY ban.

I don't really have to yet being in UKbut I can clearly see the pattern and that I don't really have much time left before my freedom is taken away

Seriously. I keep seeing these posts about people getting stuff confiscated in Singapore and how they have to worry about being charged with a crime. It's like we'll all be criminals one day. It's like a 'cloud chaser' is going to mean someone who goes hunting for the source of vape clouds and confiscates.
